Hi everyone Im new here and just want to send my greetings to everyone in this forum,Im a Canadian born marsh hunter living and hunting in Greece.Greetings to all.
Can a person hunt in the marshes there? The country has a very good history as nation willing to fight for what they believe in, unlike some others, so there must be some freedoms and independent thought.
I live between Piraeus and Arta in western Greece where I usually hunt.Welcome! Where abouts in Greece do you hail from? How are the laws re: guns over there?
Welcome to the forum!
I bet you don't miss the weather here, eh?
I'm also curious what the gun laws are like there.![]()

The majority of the marshes here are closed to hunting,if you have a mersh close to youre vicinity you can make a low bag generally. If you must travel, the expenses are to big for the birds you can get. Most hunters travel abroad now to the balkans, its become one way, at least there you can make a decent bag.I have the luxury to have a house right in the marsh admitting me to take a few birds every year mostly teal.Decoying and calling are prohibited here, only methods allowed are ambushing and jump shooting, that are not always easy in what ever is left to hunt in legally in these crowded marshes.Lead is still used here. Can a person hunt in the marshes there? The country has a very good history as nation willing to fight for what they believe in, unlike some others, so there must be some freedoms and independent thought.
Howdy, and as Ralph "the Birdman" Lockwood used to say on CKGM in the 70's,
