The anti-hunting comments seem to be coming in fast and furious over an article in the Cornwall Standard Freeholder regarding a local coyote hunting contest.

Why not take a minute or two to write a pro-hunting comment on the newspaper's comment section of their web site. We need to show our support for companies like the Fence Depot that support hunting.

Regards,

Chizzy

There are certainly a bunch of lefty, bicycle riding, tofu eating, anti-hunting type people who have written in.

I've read some of the hate e-mails that they sent to Fence Depot...scary. These people seem to have very serious mental issues.

Good luck to all the coyote hunters. :)

PS. Like Chizzy said, please take the time to write something positive in the comment section.

I am just giving this another bump as the anti-hunting group seems to be outnumbering the pro-hunting side of things in the comment section of this article.

The antis are attempting to get the Ministry of Natural Resources to intervene and are trying to use social media sites to gain support for their position.

Taking a few minutes to leave a comment on the comment board of this article would go a long way in showing support to the participants and the organizers of this competition.

The rhetoric of the anti-hunting side is getting tiring at best.

"Coyote hunters are NOT welcome on my farm. Killing them will only increase their populations. Just let Mother Nature manage their populations. "

Thats your perogative as the landowner. Hope you have a good supply of blacktails on hand to feed them though. I'd hate to see them kill off whatever it is you're farming. Of course if the food chain runs out so will the coyotes! Let's hope your wallet can take the hit for nature to run it's course!:D

I just posted a comment. These bleeding heart liberals would do us a big favour by shoving their heads a little farther up their a$$es and then maybe the would disappear!:dancingbanana:

No Problem, Don't ask for help when coyotes are ravaging your live stock, Oh and if you do loose any livestock to predators, don't expect to get reimbursed for your looses. Your just letting nature control your live stock populations.

you did notice the quotation marks right?;)

the ignorance of some of the posts there is unbelivable

whats all this illegal stuff from antagonizer there? anyone can confirm or provide good response to a trollup

Unfortunately it would appear that the newspaper's comment section on their web site only allows for a limited number of responses to each of the newspapers articles. When I tried to leave additional comments and responses I am receiving the following message: "Commenting on this article has reached its limit."

Thank you to everyone who took the time to leave a comment or to attempt to leave a comment on this article. You will be pleased to note that a pro-hunting comment was the last word on the subject. :)

Good luck to all participants!

Chizzy

omg- i've been reading everything about this online and in the paper (i'm from cornwall, lol)
the thing that gets me is that everyone who is against the contest/ the hunting of predators, are non-hunters.
As well, I was just watching a hunting program today, where they were talking about coyote hunting and the such, and they were talking to an MNR biologist, and apparently the MNR has no apparent position of whether the contest/culling of the hunting on coyotes, but they do agree that it may help (short term) the controlling of the coyote population, which may increase/normalize the deer population, allowing for more tags to be distrubuted next year (the amount of tags for the current season has seen substainial loss, when comparing collective data from years past)

never thought Ill get the last word:redface: was waiting for antagonizers response
hope it makes sence I was bit pissed when i wrote it :/

edit; hope some of the participants are on this forum, would like to read about the hunt and maybe see some pix

I will be out in the morning; however, don't expect any pictures of success from me. I enjoy getting out at every opportunity; however, my successful "call in" rate has been dismal. Tomorrow is a new day! Wish me luck.

"Oh the poor Coyotes!"

Until they kill your cat...

A father and son team (son is 12) came in with 6 'yotes between the 2 of them. Contest is still going. Good luck to all participants.

I am jealous! All I got was a good workout with the snowshoes. Did they call them in or were they running dogs?

Good spot to shoot coyotes....yup

And NO it wasn't me. :(

But I'm trying. ;)

Does this surprise me in Cornhole....errr I mean Cornwall? NO
This is the city (at least they like to think they are a city) that has elected Libs since confederation. That place is so red it stinks.

I suspect the only thing that "farmer" is cultivating is weeds on his acreage. A lot of urbanites turned rural idealists that like to call themselves farmers.

At least I am upwind of that place....and don't have to smell the Liberal insider job handing out by Mayor Boondoggle Bob and his sidekick Metivier.
