Tactical Shotguns - what do you do with them?

Just curious what people do with their short shotguns?

Do you use them for work?
Take them on courses?
Just enjoy them at the range?
Play mirror commando with them?

I own several shotguns, but only one is "tactical". It gets used for shooting courses, such as tactical pistol / shotgun courses etc.

It's also been used to dispatch a porcupine or two.. .

I lust after them on the Internet mostly. Hopefully I'll be using one as a multi purpose camping tool this summer, making kindling, cutting branches off trees and killing the odd watermelon that is unfortunate enough to roll into my campsite.

I carry my 14" 870 in my truck 24/7. I've used it to put down animals struck by vehicles and help myself feel more secure when caught out overnight, pretty much any time of the year.

As an aside, the mid-sized MEC snowshoe bag ($24 - 34" long) fits the 14" 870 w/Hogue short LOP buttstock perfectly. Very low-key...

That is the common term around here for anything with a shorter barrel and some form of mall ninja gear attached...

I sometimes sit mine on the work bench and just let it scare people from miles away. It doesn't work so well though as it's so tactical looking and awesome that people can't even see it...
