I would like to buy a new Bersa Thunder 9. Can anyone tell me if there is a dealer in BC or even all of Canada that carries the Bersa line? I know Marstar has an older model on clearance but I would like a new 9 with a rail.

thx

There was a topic about one of the dealer tried to bring in the new Bersa and lighted up many members including myself but finally didn't happened. This Bersa Thunder has very good reputation in the State and we don't have much luck I guess.

I handled a Bersa a couple of years ago and fell in love. Without a dealer and very little support I declined....

I would take 2 Thunder 9s in a heart beat.

ArmsEast might some day. At least that was the plan to bring in the new model and cheaper than Marstar's surplus one.

ArmsEast has mentioned Bersa again recently so I think it is still a work in progress.
The good news, Argentina finally issued our export licenses last week. Almost posted it, then thought better of it. Of course, the Consul called at the end of the week to say it could be up to five weeks before all formalities were complete and the guns could leave the country.

Argentina... like the people, like the country, love their taste in firearms ( Bersa Thunder replaced the FM Browning Hi-Power, which replaced the 1911, as the service pistol for the Argentine Police and Military.), love the factory and Bersa's employees, like their food and wine. Their bureaucracy... not so much. 5 weeks, we shall see.

For what it's worth, we have 9mm and 40 Thunder Pro full size, as well as their .22 with the 150mm bbl.

The first shipment has a bit of a mix, but while we're waiting, I'm curious to hear peoples thoughts between the Nickel vs Matte Blue Slides.
Any preferences?

Cool. We are getting in perhaps too many spare parts. Every Bersa sold in Canada will include a Canadian warranty backed up by our NRA Qualified Gunsmith. Dealers will be contacted as soon as the guns are inbound. We're ready to go on that front. Just need the guns now. The first shipment is always the hardest.

Very very nice!! I like the matt blue slide but I am sure the nickel one will sell like hotcake. While there are over priced shooting iron flooded our market, this indeed is a great choice for people who seeking quality inexpensive piece. Great work!!

The nickel finish is very, very atttractive but I would always go for flat black. I once read that old flintlock dueling pistols, at least those made by the English, were made with no shiny surfaces. It seems the eye is drawn to shiny objects and one instinctively aims to that point.

All matte would be more to my liking.

Would you be able to indicate if the 40 mag is factory limited to ten rounds or if this is something has to be done upon arrival here?
