9.3X62 becoming mainstream

You must ask yourself; does it really worth it? - I would say "no", but it's your rifle.
I have several rifles in both calibers and enjoy them all. I really like M/46 (X57) with open sights as a "side gun".

In order to keep with my personal flavor of Yawn here's my contribution.
9,3 will always be more fun than any boring old 375.

Bumped into a group of chaps hunting Sheep a couple seasons ago.
All three of them having lived in Germany most of their life so the language barrier made for interesting talk but the topic of chasing sheep and rifles etc made it well worth the challenge.
One of them in particular and I hit if off pretty good, the rest of the guys laughing as we both liked our Mausers so much. Soon as I saw his rifle I knew it was no run of the mill. :ninja:

He had a smith build it for him while he was with the German military and it is set up for two different claw mounted scopes, chambered in the Brenneke 9,3x64. The pics don't do it justice, it has high pucker factor.

He was kind enough to let me take a couple impromtu pics and even gave me an empty case for my collection. Nice to meet good folks out in the high country. I hope they found themselves some game.

Noel its funny how you and I like the same guns! That is a real nice rifle you took pictures of! I bet it was sweet!
I like the 9.3 calibres so much ,bought myself a Cape gun in 9.3x74R, I want to find a Remington model 30 Enfield commercial Action to do a build, but will make it into an real heavy Express type rifle! So if anyone has a nice old Reminton model 30 hanging around and wants to get rid of it, I surely will take it off your hands!!
My Stiga 9.3x62 is a beautiful light carry gun, so I would asume your 9.3x57 would aslo make a good candidate for a simple conversion, may have a little work in making the mag boxes feed?
A Sako Safari or a CZ Express custom would be the cats pijama's! I like to thanks all you computer minded fellows for the lovely photo's, cheers Dale Z!

Well I know that Ruger adding the 9.3x62 to its M77 lineup has been discussed, but I wasn't aware until today that Remington is now producing their Core-lockt ammo in 9.3X62. It really does seem to be making inroads in North America. I'm planning to buy one and am glad to see more off the shelf ammo choices as I havent gotten into reloading yet.

Yes, Remington is making 4 different loads for the 9.3x62, Federal is making 3 loads and Hornady also makes 1 load which they classify as a Dangerous Game
load at an MSRP of $64+, even though they're using their low end Interlock bullets. But it is very gratifying to see the N.American manufactures
offering a good selection for this classy round. The 9.3x62 is not the "New King", it is more like "The Return of the King", where all the usurper's and
pretender's will be swept aside and will bow before the 9.3x62's legitimate regal majesty.:D I've been a fan of the 9.3x62 for quite some time now and I
have recently placed an order for one. I can't wait for his Royal Highness to arrive. Long live the true King.:)

I guess my mint Sako AV Hunter and AV Deluxe 9.3x62s might draw some interest if they were listed on the EE?!?! LOL There was an AV Hunter on a US auction site recently for $2400. Looked like a nice rifle if anyone was interested.

for rem one is enough 9.3*62 286 grains corelockt nothing else ...

i ve been user of 9.3*62 over 20 years now and im on the 375 ruger bandwagon now.

why because Ruger made a very combo for my uses. no other companies nor other caliber are making it. try a 9.3*62 in a 20 inch and come back to me. i ve tried and still no convince. the 375 ruger is the new king to me .. a shame im not as good as gatehouse for writing skills nor to declare my flame to the new king maybe if it was the new queen .....but that s another story ....

....

I'm not sure, but if you are correcting me and saying Remington only produces one load for the 9.3x62, then yes you are right and I stand corrected.
Don't know where I came up with four, probably just wishful thinking on my part. But it's still one of the best damned cartridges out there.;)

A few years ago I was also debating having a 9.3x62 built, along with other .375's. Then the NEW KING was introduced and it was easy to see that it totally outclassed the 9.3x62. It had all of the attributes of the 9.3, plus the performance of the H&H and all in a tidy package. I'm glad I did go with the NEW KING, that is for sure! :)

Gatehouse,

im on the same way and i had to x62s.

the package offered is one of the best on the market and at least for me. and seems im not the only one.

we should one day set up a 375 ruger only owners meeting ...

I'm sure if the African in 9.3x62 sells well, they will offer it in other models. The CZ 550 Carbine also looks like a pretty handy rig. I guess CZ believes
there is more potential for 9.3x62 as well.

if you want the alaskan 9.3*62 not very hard find 249 other fellows and ruger will make it.
