Tactical Shotguns - what do you do with them?

but still for piece of mind keeping a trigger lock on it is good practice. if i remember right you only need 1 lock on a non restricted, so if its in a locked gun case thats sufficient, but if you get one of those socks to keep it in then a trigger lock is needed.

a little off topic, but whats the law on pistol grips on shotguns? i hear mixed reviews saying once you put on a pistol grip it becomes restricted, other people say it doesnt, and i was just on gun addicts and came across one that comes with a pistol grip and the description says once you put it on it becomes restricted. so whats the real deal with this?

grips has noting to do with restricted or not only length(overall and barel),action and either centerfirer/ rimfire come into account if i remember corectly (inner rifled of the barel or not might also be considered)

WTF is a "tactical" shotgun...?

If you want to know what I do with my semi automatic 18" Benelli m4..
Mostly 3-gun comp.
Oh.. and I lend it to guys who's mossbergs break ;-)

You're a mean mean man.

I'll have a Benelli M4 yet. In the meantime, I'm making do with my Mossberg. When I have an M4 I'll still be shooting running rabbits with my Mossberg in the bush.

Beyond that, for general fun instinctive shooting, making things bounce repeatedly, shooting lots of targets fast and from different positions. I like em.

I carry my 14" HP9 every night when the dogs and I go for our 1 mile walk. It also went turkey hunting a couple of times last year but never got a chance to shine.

Fondle them as I wait for zombies:D:D Other than that...protect my family when we are camping in remote wilderness areas that is also home to grizzlies. Also, may use for home defense if need be;)

i was just in the basement playing with mine. i clipped my sling on and threw it on and practiced walking with it and drawing it quick while racking it. yup i had time during a commercial lol

Silvercore taught me a gun is unloaded if there is no ammunition or loaded magazine in it. A loaded mag in the same case as a pistol is still considered unloaded, a shotgun with a side saddle but no rounds in the shotgun is considered unloaded. This is how I was taught and this is how I transport

thats interesting, i remember being told something a little different. i wanna tansport a gun on the back of my streetbike one day to the range to enjoy the fresh air and to be honest test the waters with local pd. i was told i can legally toss it on my back but i need to have the ammo in a different area than the gun, under the seat for example.

Hunt, shoot clays, shoot slugs at up to 200 yds, everything I would do with a long-barreled contraption that is just too long for me to carry comfortably.

Work. The 870 I have work is one of the best 870's i have ever seen. It's blued, and has a walnut stock. Broken in enough where it feels perfect. I'd trade my own new 870 for that old piece of s**t
