WOW why you ask for detailed pics

That's one gruesome looking rifle. The seller should be ashamed of neglecting it so bad, and doubly ashamed of selling it to someone else. A total dismantle job and cleaning is in order. Shame, shame, shame, on the seller.:mad::mad::mad:
 
That looks horrible, once this gets dealt with make sure to post the persons name who sold it...Disgracefull conduct to sell someone a rifle like that and the seller should be banned in my opinion :(
 
The sad thing is that rifles from Russia that were used in combat, refurbished, and stored in a mediocre environment look a ####load better than this. Shame on the man who let this beautiful rifle go to waste. He should be dragged through the streets by his ball hairs.
 
With all the bubba jobs and careless SKS owners out there right now, this scenario will be repeated over and over again in at least the hundreds within a couple years time. Always get pics, and with the current date on them!
 
Wow...is this rusting due to the use of corrosive ammo? That doesn't make sense to me because I have a Chinese SKS that I bought 20 years ago and the last time I shot it was probably about 10 years ago, and I think I forgot to clean it. It's been in my safe ever since and I just had a look at it and it's perfectly fine, no rust anywhere.
 
what a shame ... that being said it is an sks so banging the butt stock on the floor shakin it around abit cylce the action a few time ill bet she be good ta go:cool:
 
Reminds me of my buddies' who fired a bunch of corrosive ammo, and then threw it under the bed for a few years without cleaning it. I managed to free everything up and cleaned off the rust as best as I could, but there was a lot of pitting, and the gas tube was badly scored where the piston was frozen in place. CLEAN YER DAMN SHOOTIN' IRONS PEOPLE!!!
 
Ya this is why I ask for picture, ya I know what a dealer bought SKS looks like, but I dont know what yours looks like LOL. Wow that sucks bro! Looks like someone didn't clean their gun at all
 
seriously though

If you knock that rust of with a chemical or by blasting (bead not sand)and oil it up she will run fine Ihave seen these rifles look like they were stored in a cows butt that would still run. I don't agree with the seller selling it like that. but that is in the past. your options are to clean it up an sell it at a reduced price with full disclosure, or clean it up and duracoat it or something to make it look cool. heck you could even film dip it and end up with a unique gun.
 
Guys that are too damn lazy to post pics or say that "it looks like any other" or my favorite is the guy who lists a 9mm glock that looks like every other glock.... Oh really?

Hope you get this rectified.
 
Well the seller and buyer are members here and it is in limbo being dealt with. The gun is getting partially rebult and some is hitting the bin. Also if anyone wants that stock it is going up for grabs too. The buyer is going to get most of his money back luckily and I am taking it off him to have it properly redone. That is a whole different story though. Please guys just ask for tons of pics and make sure you are getting what you pay for.
 
Ouch! I have used corrosive ammo before with minimal cleaning and NEVER had anything like that happen. It looks like he used it a stake for holding up a garden fence. That makes me think of my granfather using old No 4 bayonets as hard hat racks in his barn :).
