Hey guys, I have Hk94 in my safe, with the barrel professionally cut by weimajack a la mp5 in mint condition still unfired but picking up dust because it's surplus to my needs

What the value of these right now... Can I export it to the state? Any idea of the general cost ans process
or should I just offer it here...
Also I have to faema that I seldom shoot, the mini and the saf model both in 9 mm, can'y seem to find the value of them both are mint....
Thank's
Ben

I doubt you could export it to the states with the short barrel, I'm pretty sure "NFA" (i.e. full-auto, supressed and short barrelled firearms) firearms that are not already in the states can't be imported, but I could be wrong.

My advice is to go to HKPRO and see if you can part it out?
You may have to "cut the receiver"? in order to import it? however the US ban on importing assault rifles is going to be the major road block.

Failing that look to other countries? and try to export it ? or
take it out and shoot it?

Is this thing prohibited class?

If not, and it's a restricted, I have something you may be interested in on trade.

Yep, with the cut barrel, your gun is an NFA item, and only importable to the US by .gov end users. Still, given the piss poor market for them here, I'd hang my hook on a smaller LEO doing a one off import before getting a fair offer on this side of the border.

I don't think given the Assault Weapons Importation Prohibition that as a "firearm" its importable to the US. The US have been making there own clones because they can't get the "real deal". If you saw cut the receiver and "deactivate" it? you may be able to import? The buyer may be able to weld the cut and register it as a SBR? This is all however speculation,
I'm sure the folks at HKPRO can give you a good "heads up"

Non-sporting guns have been unimportable into the US since 1968, but AW restrictions don't apply to LEO imports. They just can't be imported and then transfered to civilians.

If that's the case then the OP may be in a good position if he can find the right buyer.Last time I checked a "real" HK MP5 went in the neighborhood of $10,000 thats for a transferable gun in the US.I'm sure the OP can make a deal and "everyone wins.

A real transferable H&K MP5 would have to have been imported into the US prior to passage of the 1968 GCA. All MP5's imported since then are not transferable. MP5's imported from 1968-1986 may be possessed by individuals with a FFL and SOT as a non-transferable sales sample. (As in it can be possessed by only another FFL SOT or LEO)

The majority of guns claimed to be transferable MP5's are actually H&K 94's that were converted with aftermarket sears, legally registered prior to May 1986. Many were cosmeticly altered to disguise the clip on lower as a pin on version.

Sadly it's worth about as much deactivated as it is live here in Canada. Equally sad that it will sell quicker deactivated as the market for dewats is larger.
