I am weak, I actually found that disturbing.

I don't think its a sign of weakness to find the suffering of these animals disturbing.
I know they use spears because they just don't have more advance weapons, and it's either this or they don't eat, but man that made me cringe for the poor buggers. I couldn't watch the whole thing

And before the flaming begins; no I am not a vegan, hippie, tree hugger, and yes I do hunt.

By our Western standards it seems cruel. With the lack of more powerful weapons it's what you have to do to survive. Hunting techniques like this are what allowed mankind to evolve into what we are today.

I'm glad we have firearms so our prey doesn't have to suffer.

A spear hunt in 15th century Belgium.
I like this painting because you can see correct details like the pursuit dogs and catch dogs.
Also the military spears with the improvised "boarsfedder" and the hunting spears made this way from the blacksmith shop.
Notice the stocking feet. No shoes for stealth maybe?
A little bit of artistic drama with the boar tusks, but in the deep forest with nothing but spears and brave dogs, I can see how one's imagination could get carried away. "911" is the dog or fella next to you!

that made me cringe too but on the posable up side i just watched beyond survival with les shroud on the massi and they use a pretty potent poisin on their spears and arrows i don't know if the tribe in the vid is massi or if they actually use the poisin but i am choosing to believe so

I was more surprised that the tribe has over 10000 people. & they gotta be doing alot of hunting to maintain that tribe! Hopefully they doing some farming!

WTF that hog hunting video is disturbing. The first one is fine. Thats their culture and they have no alternative. But the hog video is disgusting. Forcing your child to stab a wild boar with a knife is not right. Jesus this is 2011, not 892 BCE

The first video although crule looking was like looking back in time, that is somthing you could have seen 10 000 years ago. The second one, well to each there own, that man has no intension of raising no sissy boy.
