The SKS is a fantastic battle rifle that is both robust and more accurate than it often gets credit for. Lets get a thread started to showcase the versatility and customizability of this often overlooked yet very relevant Red Rfile!

Out of curiosity, did you manage to get the bottom 2 screws on that POSP scope mounted into the stock?

I have the 8x42d mounted on my Tapco T-6 and the bottom two holes on the mount for the scope sit about 1/4" away from the stock.

I did have the whole Tapco set up on mine and all the bells and whistles that you can put on an SKS. I sold that one a few years back but this year I got another one (a Russian in pristine condition). Somehow, I can't bring myself to make any mods to it again.

I just love it the way it is and I'm going to keep it as such.

I already posted mine elsewhere (Russian '54 I think), but here it is again:

And just so you know, any M4 rubber butt pad should fit your Tapco T6 stock. I bought a non-Tapco brand from Marstar and it fit like a glove.

Thanks for the heads up! I should pick one of these up for those days at the range when it just seems right to blast through an a$$ load of ammo.

No problem.Just remember to ask first. I'm not 100% sure that this is always the case. I'll dig around my email and find which model I ordered, then post the details here.

The TAPCO buttpads will fit AR & AR style stocks as well as the other way.
How about a Tapco dark earth build, A bit different seeing as how we are doing a Tapco SKS thread...

really..?

dont mean to spoil the party here, but i just dont get the idea of putting a Tapco stocks on SKS. What is the motive..? to make it look like AR.. ? that would be a long stretch..
also i dont think it helps in performance in any way other then extending a length of pull, but even that could be achieved differently :) it just looks the same as if you would put a modern Civic bodykit on some 1949 Ford Cupe ... but thats just me... :) dont get me wrong, i like customizing firearms ... but it has to have some style/character to it... oh well its just me.. :) :nest:

Power pill .. i like that AK looking sks.. classy..
