C7A2 Balance issues.

I find the C7A2 to be very forend heavy when I'm using it, more so than the A1, for this reason I have been glad my reserve unit has not replaced our A1s.

This week however the new A2s have arrived. I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestion for balancing out the A2? Specfically I'm looking at alternate stocks I could use.
Does anyone have any experience with the Magpul UBR?

And can anyone think of any actual useful attachments for the tri rail on the front? I'm thinking tactical beer bottle opener.... :50cal:

waisting money on mods on a gun you are not allowed to put it on will, get you charged in this army ;)

Stick with the butt it comes with "its really not that bad" or go JTF or CSOR
 
Well lets say I just want to correct balance issues on a 20" non army AR than.
Balance is so ####ed on the long rifles without the fixed stocks.
Besides, I'm on CGN, wasting money on useless kit is SOP.
 
an m16 style with balance issues?- heck , the things's a lite as a feather in ANY configuration-

It's actually not bad with the extended stock, not much difference. 1st, don't put crap that you don't need on the tri-rail, or get rid of it, it's a POS anyways

A good single point sling can help too
 
I know its light (my other gun is a musket) but its not balanced.
I honestly can't think of a single useful attachment I could put on the tri rail, a laser designator if we had nvgs I suppose.
 
I would pay someone a lot of money to walk up to the RSM with a magpul CTR stock on their rifle and say "hey sir I think I solved the balance issue with these new rifles!"

In all seriousness though, they aren't that bad. I feel lucky cuz my arms are so short I can actually shoot when wearing a flak vest. you will get used to it man, just like everything else in the MO.
 
I used an LMT SOPMOD and DD 7 Omega rail on my C8A3 overseas and didnt have any problems.

The A1 is junk when you put soft armour and plates on.

A2 has balance issues due to the 20 inch barrels, and putting the idiotic triad so far forward with an IR Laser and tac light.

I wouldnt bother modding my work rifle out unless I was heading back overseas or going on a field exercise for over a month... much less so if I was doing the SWAT thing.

If you're not deploying (in which case you want a C8 variant), don't waste money on an issue "tool" that you aren't allowed to mod anyhow.
 
Find out if it has a commercial or mil spec buffer tube, then maybe get a magpul ACS. you could put a set of batteries in the storage tubes, and that way you can slip the factory sliding stock back on real quick and easy.

As for getting i trouble, according to my buddy its a possibility, only you can say if its worth it or not, but making no permanent mods to the rifle would let you swap it back quick and easy ;)

This is the sort of thing I'm talking about. With the old A1s I used to toss something in the compartment (Had a nice battery pack that fit snug.) It balanced it out and made the rifle much more comfortable to use.

Tri-ads are a class A item DO NOT LOSE IT!
