I bought a brand new Ameristep bone collector blind. Its got grommet holes for stakes, but doesnt come with stakes? Do you guys ussually stake them down? Or leave as is?

You think some ####bag stole my stakes? I asked the guy at Basspro and he said there was stakes. It came with no directions and no stakes. Just a backpack and the Blind.

does this blind come with a carrying case/pouch, if so there might be a zippered pouch on the side, the stakes might be in there, if not take it back, then go back to where they are and grab one with stakes, better yet make sure this model does come with stakes....

BONE COLLECTOR® DETAILS:
• Model: #3297 Realtree® AP HD™ Camo
• Rugged Hub-Style Construction
Stakes & High Wind Tie-Downs
• Backpack carrying case
• Pack dimensions: 8” x 44”
• Weighs approx. 20 lbs.

Did this ring a bell.

I bought a treestand from BPS a number of years back. Drove around to pick it up. I helped the guy put it in the truck - it was quite heavy and I noticed the weight was not supposed to be what it was. I get home and throw it in the garage. I was going to assemble it on site and wanted to make sure that all the parts were there. A couple of days later, I opened the box to start verifying the parts when I realized that the guy gave me the wrong stand - it was a better, deluxe model but not the two seater I wanted. No way was I going to take the f'n thing back. It has worked quite nicely the last couple of fall hunting seasons.

Buddy I owe you big time! Thanks. I have searched again and there is a hidden comparment on the side of the back pack with tiny stakes, instructions and warranty in it. I would never have found it otherwise. Thank you! :D

Here is the blind

dumb question, can turkeys see inside a blind through the mesh openings or do they just see the mesh and nothing more?

I cant find my "robbing 7-11 black ski mask", it seems to have gone missing. Do I need a facemask in the blind or not?

I would have gone with the white winter camo model. I think it would have blended better in the lab.

Yeah you got a point. Still I have hidden in the blind, workers have gone past...so far sight unseen. The prey is of yet...unsuspecting :p

nice blind...;)..but im sure the stakes inpackage are a piece of #### in a a bit of wind..
when i first set my ameristep doghouse..i had to chase it down the field
they dont work like a regular tent where they have a floor in them and all your gear and fat azz hold it down..
anchor onto a few big rocks on your corners;)..

mine seems to hold down quite well even in the wind. Although the first time I set it up, I was not quick enough with the stakes and also ended up chasing it across the field.

I have the G3 hub, which is quite similar by the looks of it. They puney stakes kept mine in the same spot for 3or 4 weeks, tucked in by a tree just inside the treeline at the edge of the field. As far as them being able to see you in it? Well the jury is still out on that one. I suspected they might have seen me move the first couple times they hung up on me, but the last bird I got, I was looking through a couple different windows trying to see if that giant 3" beard was actually a beard or a ruffled feather, and the thing never saw me even though it was looking in my direction at under 15 yrds.

As long as you put the stakes in at an angle and not straight into the ground there should be no issue, mine has never gone anywhere

USP, u need to pre-drill the tile floor, stakes will then work.......

I am setting it up on the edge of a swamp that borders a large field. I got awhole lot of bug netting. This should be good
