UPDATE: Rossi Ranch Hand Mares Leg

One of those bungy style single point slings might get the nod too as it would be quick to hang off the saddle ring.

I'm planning on giving that a try too. I have a few ideas along those lines :)

I'm also thinking about hooking a loop of webbing under the butt pad at the back as an attachment point for the single point bungy sling because I could see it being useful to help tension the gun while shooting and specially while working the lever!

I think that is a brilliant idea.

Nice! Have you also been able to get full size stocks and regular lever loops for those of us who want to swap them out?

We should get a bunch of us who don't need the spin cocking levers together and re design a mid size loop and then send them to a fabricator to be cut, shaped, welded.

I bet it wouldn't cost to much if the shop was doing a bunch at the same time?

I might even try and do as much as I can myself and then get someone to weld it for me.

I like the shape and size of the Henry .22 mare's leg's lever.

I have access to a CNC laser cutter, water jet cutter and machining center. If I can get a sample of the current loop I can probably come up with a more standard design and get some made. Unfortunately, these machines don't come cheap but if the quantity is decent enough it might work out.

(of course, if I'm far enough up the list I'll have my own sample :) )

...and for those who don't make the first shipment, approximately when will the second one come?

I believe gary mentioned that the second shipment ETA is unknown as Rossi is filling in orders as they are taken, so it could be sometime before the second shipment arrives, and it could be sooner than expected. so basically unknown for now.

If 'austin powers' were being made today, Dr Evil would be lamenting that he couldn't get sharks with frikkin' ranch hands on their heads
