Disgusting Hunting Video on Youtube

Unless...the sport kills him, first.

We can only hope...

I'm a new hunter; put my name in for the deer draw for the 1st time just last month, and I know this pathetic behaviour is just wrong. I saw a couple posts refering to wishing this doesn't give new hunters the wrong impression/education. Truth is, something like this wouldn't influence an ethical and moral human being into becoming a ####bag of a person. I think you have to be born and raised with this attitude and demeanor to so openly disregard pain and suffering, and to exhibit it so blatantly to the world.
Such utter disrespect for a living creature is torture to watch.

Put it this way new hunter, if u shoot a deer at 50y and it drops but is still kicking around feel free to put one in the head. The guys in the video did nothing un-ethical other than jump around.

That is not even that bad. Think of deer that have been gut shot and ran off. They had it worse than this deer.

Not the best hunting video but at least he put it down. "shake that bear" is def the one that gives hunters the worst rep. Most have not seen it tho

So now I had to google that......."interesting" video, can't really post a link here.

Though it was made by some messed up individuals, there really isn't any cruelty or what I would consider unethial hunting/shooting practices. Bear hunting with hounds...............and then the rest.

While it's in very poor taste, I believe it's a common "practice" to perform the same acts on a taxidermy completed bear hide. :)

Unless I found the wrong video, then disregard.

Anyone who would let an animal suffer like that . Does not deserve the right to hunt. The JERK should not be allowed to own a firearm. He gives all the responsible hunters a bad name.

You have to be joking!!! DID NOTHING WRONG!!, you mean to say you don't see anything wrong with this animal suffering while his buddy gets his camera out and starts recording before he walks over about fifty feet to finish the deer off, not to mention posting the mess on youtube for the world to see

The point is not that he shot the deer in the head, the point is he waited and let the animal suffer for no one knows how long for his buddy to get his video camera out and start recording before he even made his way to the deer to put that finishing shot in the head, the deer should have been finished off right away and get his pictures after, the guy is a disgrace to the sport of hunting, it's people like this that give all of us ethical hunters a bad rap.

I'm really amazed that someone would actually defend this moron.

so while his buddy took the time to get the camera out and start recording him he just let the animal suffer.

As weird as it is to want that on video, and then to actually post it on You Tube for everyone to see( really messed up), I cannot see any proof that "buddy" took or wasted any time getting his camera. His buddy could have easily been nearby when the deer was shot (distance unknown) and as they were walking to the deer he was getting his camera out to video it, and then as they got to the deer he ended it quick enough.

Killing is never pretty, whether in the abbatoir or in the field. But watching this guy's antics and his decision to post it on YouTube, tells me enough about what kind of a 'hunter' he is.

Interesting ... quick question for you all ... do any of you finish off an animal that isn't killed with the first shot with a knife to the back of the head or just shoot it again?

Exactly, video and posting on YouTube.... Not a good idea in our society.

I as well never saw a lot of wasted time either.

I feel sorry for one I shot my self. I was bow hunting and shot a doe, looked like a good shot from my standpoint. Waited a bit than tracked the blood trail. After a km I found the deer down but still alive. I (at a quick pase) went all the way back to the truck for the shotgun than came back to end her. I would have just slit her throat originally but she was sitting up still and would be agenst it no dout.

I'm a responsible ethical hunter. My story just points out that some times killin ain't pretty.

Ps. On that note, got a 70lb pse nova compound bow for sale if anyone wants it. $300 like new condition.

There are far better , more compasionate attitudes to take when finishing off game.

In theory if they didn't have the camera in hand there is no way this should have made it to video , he should have made his way to the downed animal quickly and finished it off fast.He waited for his buddy to get the camera.

Was it any worse than other situations with wounded deer? No, sometimes things happen then you deal with them.

It was HOW it was done.
