They actually mentiond "printing and proofing" when I talked to them in June but did not volunteer how long it was going to take.
Thanks. the cfc website i am on the phone now with the CFO to get my number. still no luck getting a hold of CFO. any other number i can call ?
If it's Ontario, the number a few posts up worked fine yesterday. They didn't pick up the first few times, but I'd imagine they were just doing something else...
Try them again in a bit...
I talked to a very very nice lady at the CFO. The number above. She provided a ton of information and was very helpful.
Hey just wanted to give a timeline for everyone:
Jun 19: Completed tests, results are sent in by courier ASAP.
Jun 28: Postal strike ends, I send my RPAL application.
Jul 7: CFO stamps my test results.
Jul 12: Receive the results. Faxed them in.
Jul 18: RCMP website shows my application, marked received Jul 8.
Actually seems to be going pretty quickly given the strike and all. Thought maybe they'd be backlogged worse than this.
keep calling it's the only way to get stuff moving.
This is unreal that there isn't a single standard on how firearms applications are processed and how fast this process is.
I feel some what fortunate that mine went fairly smooth. 32 days from completion of my CFSC and CRFSC to being issued my RPAL#. I'm just waiting for the piece of plastic now.
