Installing the new NEA upper receiver. Lots of pics!

Huh? @jdman: One is a forged Armalite upper receiver, the other is a machined from billet NEA upper receiver. They are of course not identical, forgings had a lot of unmachined surfaces original to the forging, billet is milled out of a big block of aluminum, every surface has been machined ot the shape you see.

Not sure what you mean wrt Monday or Friday - that would imply massive QA/Q problems. Are you slagging the product, or just trying to be funny? Have you held one personally to examine? I imagine not.

I don't have any affiliation to NEA, but if I did, your post would be infuriating.

He is referring to 5 uppers that we gave Oneshot to sell off that were not cosmetically perfect. There is a blending line behind the deflector that was missed in debur. Hardly noticeable but, not good enough to be sold at full price.

He was referring to the two options listed on my website.

We got the first ones off the line, and a few have very minor blending issues in some of corners.

Rather than trash them because of just looks, we took them to build our company training firearms and offer to those who aren't overly concerned with looks.

its something we could look at if there is enough demand. Maybe a lower with an interchangeable magwell to allow for different pistol mags."

Oh gawd YES!!! And make one capable of taking Springfield XD magazines if you feel like being challenged.

Oooooo I'm totally going to get one of these.
Can tell NEA is striving to bring a superior product for an affordable price to the Canadian public.

one question: are there any plans / enough interest for a piston system?

Reveived my new NEA receiver quick trip to Tactical Ordnance for a drop off and Casey did his magic and assembled my new upper

I would love it if you removed the forward assists. There is not one thing that can be improved in a shooting situation by use of the forward assist. The FA is a useless committee designed feature that is never used.
