CSA 7.5" 5.56mm = 2214 fps
CSA 7.5" 7.62mm = 1837 fps

Maybe low light pix. I am guessing a great deal of gas comes out that area as well. Wear gloves is my advice until we know, unless you like tattoos.

Excellent pics, thank you for posting. Stupid question: If you cut off the rear overhanging portion your optic rail would you be able to remove the dust cover or, dare to dream, the bolt carrier without removing the rail? It looks tantalizingly close.
