Big game season is approaching (or depending on where you live) has already arrived. What's everyone toting?

Moose/Bear-
Sako 85 LSS .338 Federal
VXII 2-7X33
185 TTSX over 47 grns of 8208 XBR

Deer-
Gonna flip a coin and take either...
Model 700 XCR .270 WSM
VX3 4.5-14X40 CDS
130 TTSX (no powder charge yet)

or

Model 7 SS .260 EDGE
M8 6X36
100 TTSX over 48 grns of H4350

I still have a Model 70 7mm WSM sitting by itself in the safe that I've been trying to sell. May have to put the 4.5-14 on that and use it for everything

My basic Winchester in .270 has always been my go-to rifle. This year I'm leaving it at home and will hopefully have the chance to try out my rsi No. 1 in 7mm mauser, rsi M77 .270, and No.1 45-70. Year of the Ruger for me!

Traditions Tracker 209 (.50cal), certainly a Lee Enfield - likely a No.4 but possibly a No.5 - and a N.E.F. Handi-Rifle in .308Winchester might get out to play.

Ruger m77 tang safety in .308 - 150gr Win Powermax for deer. 200gr Winchester Silvertips for bear. 180gr Nosler Partitions for moose

Win 94 with 160gr Lever Evolution and 12g smooth bore/rifle sights loaded with Winchester Rackmaster slugs will also get carried in deer.

Never got a moose license this year..So gonna grab some black bear tags and try out the "new to me" Parker Hale 1200 presentation grade .30-06 I aquired this past spring. Most likely gonna use the good ol'e remington core lokt 180's..

For stalking bear I'm taking a baikal sxs 45-70 loaded with 325gr leverolution ammo. Still looking for a scope. Ill also bring my 25-06 for any longer shots over bait and berry patches. Not sure what bullet yet.
2506 for wolf and coyote 120gr cxp2 not hunting moose this year

Tikka T3 Hunter in 6.5x55 c/w: Leupold VX3 1.75X6 shooting Norma 156gr. Oryx.
Deer and Moose
I bring the 6.5 and a Tikka T3 SS in 30-06. Might also use my Rem Model 7 in 7mm SAUM

I think the Kimber Montana 7WSM will get used for everything this year. It's possible that something else will come out to play, but unlikely ;)

Bear/Moose/Elk/BH Sheep/WT/MD *grin*
Montana 7WSM
FX3 6x42 w/ M1 ele
Talley LW
140gr TTSX @ 3300fps/162gr A-Max @ 3105fps

The .25-06 might get out for some MD or WT hunting, only because I just can't help but feel that this is the perfect deer rifle...

WT/MD
Tikka T3 SS/Lam .25-06
Burris FFII Tactical 3-9x40
100gr MK @ 3300fps/100gr TTSX @ 3300fps

Deer will be both my Marlin XS7 7mm-08 (140gr sierra prohunters) and my Marlin 336w 30-30(170gr sierra prohunters), (I'll use em both depending on exactly where I'm hunting and what I feel like carrying)

Grouse and partridge will be shot with my Baikal 16ga SxS.

And for the record, there will be no "lugging" involved, every minute in the woods will be a pleasure.

just whitetail for me this year. Just went for initial sight in and ammo selection today. chose:

Marlin 336 with 160gr Hornady leverevolution. was getting pretty good groups with this. and was 150 fps faster then the other factory stuff I picked up.

and my stevens 200 in .308 shooting Hornady custom 150 factory ammo.

Tried some reloading this year. started with sierra 165 soft point boat tails over 748. didn't work well. my range got shut down in olds :((hopefully only for the time being) so can't do alot of load work. relying on my dad for a buddy pass or two at his range

If it's not raining, Lyman .50 cal trade gun flinter 190 grain round ball, 70 grains fffg for deer, 90 for bear. If it is maybe an 870 12 gauge slug-gun, 3" Win Rackmasters, or the H&R buffalo classic .45-70, still working on a load for that, maybe just some factory stuff, leverevolution or winchester silvertips. It'll likely just be the flinter though, thats a new one for me, should be fun. ENjoy, bear opens tommorow!!!!

I got it bad for the accu trigger, after i bought my 17 with one. So i bought 30-06 from savage with an accutrigger, gonna try for elk and deer with her this year.
