In response to "which hunting rifles do you love to hate" thread, which hunting rifles do you think are the ###iest?

For me, number one in aesthetics would be a 1903 Mannlicher Schoenauer. I also like the look of Ruger No.1 rifles with sights and an Alex Henry fore end. The Sako Kodiak is also pretty, I just wish it were made on a 75 action.

Dakota model 76 is pretty ###y. I'll maybe settle for a model 70 supergrade someday since the dakota is a bit out of my reach!

I take a shining to those old Brno 21H's.
Just something sleek about them.
Not to forget the Schultz $ Larsen as well.
Just down right purrrty.....

That looks like the bastard child of a Browning auto 5 and a HK 770 lol.

I'm sure it is a quality made gun though.
I have one in 30-06 and it does have a few quirks IMO.

Does NOT like 180 grain bullets or higher in weight. (short throat & almost match-like chamber I think) Fired brass has to be full length resized or they will not chamber.
On the other hand, NRA sanctioned M1 Garand handloads of 168 weight and lower shoot pretty darn good.
Externally adjustable trigger, safety exactly like an M1/M1A/M14 copy.
The short, lightweight barrel heats up fast, not an issue usually with a big game rifle, but something to keep in mind.
There is a cocked action indicator you can feel with your trigger finger.
Comes with the 2 shot magazine (or just pull out the plastic spacer and you now have 3 capacity) or the 5 shot mag.

Most things on a Satterlee action, or by Satterlee (he makes the actions Holland & Holland, Jefferies, and some other classic English makers are using in their bolt actions). He's building me a titanium intermediate Mauser to do my light 7x57 on. Martini & Hagn are amazing too.
