Official XCR-M Release!

Wow.... $20 is very reasonable for extra mags! Hopefully the 20/5's will be priced like that.

Does it come with any rail covers or are they extra? If extra, how muchy?

So just out of curiosity, why is tax charged by province? Is it because of HST? Cuz we just got our HST repealed :) Would be nice to save $200 in tax....

That won't happen for another 18 months. And for retail goods, it won't make a difference since the RST is coming back.

Did you forget the part where it would take 2-3 years and $3 billion to re-implement the PST + GST?

I have to say im surprised at the price. I thought it was going to be well over $3000. It will be great to see these out knocking down big game in Canada.

Whilst I don't share you view on what makes a big game rifle, I will be pleased to raise the price to meet your expectations. Seriously, when we try and match the US retail and factor in a Canadian dealer discount, coupled with the limited quantities we can import at a time, add in the importation cost, these are not very profitable for us, but we try and please.

Lots of future possibilities for that platform, 7-08 and .338 Fedreal should be easy conversions.

+1

All feeding from the same mags, unlike the XCR-L conversions kit.

At a reasonable 2600$, it's hard to convince ourself that we don't need it!

My Photoshop skills are dismal at best, but here goes...... :)

I will wait to hear some range reports, but then will seriously consider trading in my PE90 poodle shooter for a real rifle, if this XCR-M seems like a winner.

Finally, someone designed a semi-auto with the charging handle on the correct side, a real engine in the chamber, and non-restricted status. Awesome!!

XCR-L shown but I assume nothing has changed for the XCR-M? I really like the simplicity here. According to RA's web site, the lower receiver has only 11 replacement parts and the upper has 4 parts, the bolt has 8, the barrel parts group has 5, the op rod has 4 parts... . It seems like a far simpler system than an AR15 and with interchangeable barrels. How does the ACR platform compare here in terms of price, performance, reliability, spare parts, magazines, take down, etc.? XCR-L owners...how tight is lower and upper fit for you?

Upper and lower fit is very good. People b1tch about the upper being 1-2 mm thicker on the left but it was designed like this for clearance of the charging handle and you cant really see it unless your looking for it. All we need is for them to ship us shorter barrels :) The whole "we dont want to take chances with the CFC" excuse kinda went to hell with the ACR being available in different lenghts yet still unrestricted in 18 inch version... Love the XCR just want it shorter and lighter without having to buy a 2000$ XCR "Pistol"...

Someone want to Photoshop in some wooden FAL handgurads and butt stock? Just because it might look pretty sweet.

Not That I would ever want to modify a $2600 rifle in that manor. just had a mental image of a modded XCR-M with the rail portion of the upper hopped and replaced with FAL wooden HG's and a wood Stock.
