wow thanks so much! hmmm from the 2nd pic, it seems like any portion of the stock that might touch the receiver actually clears it, that is great news

Yeah I was doing some clay pigeon shooting with her the other day, with the clearance there you can see the pigeon pretty clearly and can line it up well with the stock folded over.

Nice, no I shot the pigeons at the farm, I don't think I'd ever take it to a range for that. I don't want some guy in a pair of dress shoes and a 20 thousand dollar shotgun, thinking that I'm the crazy one...

And using a topfolder is the only proper way to do some one handed clay pigeon shooting anyways, not as comfortable with a stock in the way.

I had mine done for Invector chokes as that is what I already had. The gunsmith hit a small void in the barrel and had to add a piece from another barrel to make it work. He said if the void hadn't been there is would have worked fine.

Ellwoods epps had 3 of them, bought them up a while ago, just finished restoring them. (they had rust and some plastic damage, springs and hardware were all in good condition). For a few years I had been looking for them too, when I saw them there I jumped on them.

I'm planning on selling atleast one of them, but I don't know what price to sell it at.

have you had problems with the butt folding in on itself past the stops while shooting?
i remember using a similar stock and we had problems with them doing that. after a while they would always just fold in and your shoulder would be taking the butt like a knife. oh hell did it hurt after a while.
we actually had a gun plumber go to a gunshop and buy a bunch of normal 870 buttstocks since they were all doing it.

yeah they look awesome though. just as long as that butt doesnt fold in on you.

Well the one on my shotgun doesn't have that problem. The three are all still nice and square where the two parts touch. The paint and plastic were in pretty bad condition but it looks like the stocks spent most of the time folded before I got them aka not used much for actual shooting.

The one I just got had this problem, a quick squeeze in the vice and problem solved!

The main part that connects to the pistol grip is not locking up tight tho. I will have to figure out how to fix this still

both, there is wiggle when its open and closed

Well wiggle when closed is because they usually have a pad under them so it keeps them tight under the button, just tightening without adding a heat shield can be done by adding some metal where the metal touches the metal button, which can be done by adding a bit of weld. As for wiggle when it's open, look to see if the plastic on the handle is damaged where the metal touches it when it is open.
