Thanks for Deckard for giving me this idea. On the 8 mag holder, I'm thinking about building a flashlight mount into the center of the mag coupler. Seeing how simple these parts are, I think I might have a few prototypes made. I just have to finalize the parts and produce some shop drawings.

Thinking outside the box is always good, but I fear that this is a tad more cumbersome then 8 lar magazines connected into 4 magazines by the baseplates.

Just my .02.

Dial a mag... Have it attach to the magwell push a button to drop a mag spin and put a new one in... Have a bipod that spins from the center

Creative...the weakest link will be the base of each LAR mag. The coupler I have isn't the strongest so one that replaces the base plate AND strengthens the bottom is key.

Awesome idea dude, please do. im sure people would buy it, i was imagining to making a gun look like something out of "5 element" movie, and that's it definitely better of all the stuff i thought of, and as every good idea - simple. =))

Nice Idea, Very creative.

And people will harass you for thinking out of the box. But if all inventors stayed in the box we would never go anywhere. Hell even the AR-15 was ridiculed because it was an out of the box type of design at the time, now look at it.

I like the idea of 4 LAR-15's with the Dlask couplers staggered with an AR15 coupler.

That makes sense...2 up and 2 down, side by side...

It's sturdy, compact, and easy to change mags.

Not trying to discourage innovation but that "Octo-mag" looks like you would need a 2 man team for a mag change...the weight alone would make it impossible to lift, as it would very likely drop or be easily knocked out when the rifle was picked up.
