It's your rifle,do not apologize to some "Hector the Collector" for the mods you have done. It is just a SKS, they are a dime a dozen and will be that way for a long time, Looks Good.

I was contemplating ordering a Boyds stock for my Mosin Nagant M44, but after Staining the stock, and cleaning it up, I think I might not!

I'm no purist though!

I did the exact same thing with my sks, except for those useless reciever cover scope mounts.

Mine was accurate enough with irons!

Forget what everyone else says! It's your money, and your gun! Enjoy!

The bayo doesn't look right on there now, better take it off and get one of the bipods that connects to the lug, or cut the lug off. Looks very good so far though. I prefer mine stock but I have quite a few and lots of tactical parts so I might mod one for fun.

I didn't really mean to apologie for altering it,i meant that "purist/collecters probably won't want to read on":D
It cost $450 plus taxes from gun right up to the high lux red dot which seems great. Just gotta get out and fire it tommorow and see how zero will hold. P.S i love the bayonet spike, it makes everyone giggle when its out!

i recently cracked my chinese putting the damn mag back in. this. i glued it. but if it keeps cracking its headed right for the trigger area.. would still function but i know its there... this is an option for me

how is that red dot held in place? is that a dust cover rail? or something that will actually work?
