So I can' find these things on any Canadian sites, except Frontier who is sold out right now, and Grouse River who wants $28 plus shipping.

Is that really what these go for?

Who has these things in stock?

Looking for either 5 or 10 round mags. Doesn't matter.

Yup that is what they really go for in stores. Savage has them on their site for 14usd no idea about shipping. When I bought my extra savage hmr 5 rounder it was $38 tax in. But that was the only place I have seen them here.

Savage MkII magazines

If you take a bit of time and check out a few Canadian companies and dealers, you will find that these magazines are readily available.

I was in Winnipeg last week-end, and both Cabelas and Wholesale Sports had them in stock. Also, Jo-Brook Firearms, (a sponsoring dealer on GunNutz) has them in stock. The price is usually around the $15 mark.

I wonder if the WTF in posts like this is really necessary?

Well I was extremely frustrated after searching every single Canadian retailers websites, and only finding 2 references to these mags. The only one with a reasonable price was Frontier who was out of stock, and the other was not even a supporting dealer.

As I understand it this is a pretty popular gun, no?

So yeah I though that deserved a WTF.

Have your credit card ready, they are very easy to deal with.

That info should be sticky-ed.
The mags are around $13. Anything savage, try to buy from savage.

I find it funny when someone is looking for savage magazines, and doesn't even think about contacting savage.
Oh well, guess I was like that once too.

I got mine from Cabela's. Very reasonable shipping compared to Wholesale Sports who only offered the option of DHL Express (no Canada Post. Only issue is that both 10 rounders I bought are having trouble feeding snap caps (Haven't gotten around to taking it to the range to try with live rounds yet.)

No, not offended. Just a bit of an observation that WTF seems to have become part of our present day language for Frustrated individuals. In most cases, it really does not add to a Post and is not really necessary.

Perhaps, being of the older generation, (read Old Fart), who learned to communicate using the Queen's English, if you can not get your point across without using profanity or agressiveness, then the point does not really have too much validity to begin with.

Although I am sure that the original WTF post stood for other words, I do like your WTF of "Why That's Frustrating."

I think we tend to forget that we GunNutz are not the only ones who read these posts and threads. With the Anti-Gun crowd acting Rabid and trying to deprive us of our posessions and enjoyment, these people are only more than happy to point out that we are a bunch of foul mouthed, crazy, incompetent, dangerous, or any other description of us that will further their views. And some of these posts only provide ammunition for them to use.

Not to mention the Ladies, Children and ordinary people who look at the GunNutz and other firearms related sites.

:pCan you picture the 8 year old who comes to the table and says, "Hey Mom, WTF is for Breakfast?" :slap: and the explanation "But Mom, I learned that on GunNutz!"

However, WTF is a handy expression that you can THINK when you are confronted with occurances, like "Honey, WTF were you thinking about when you drove the car into the back will of the Garage?" or you boss's latest ideas; "WTF is this Idiot trying to do now?"
