LOOKS GREAT!!!!!!!!!! I like the fact you did the fabrication yourself, of course I am sure you tube helped??? lol

yes and no. All the conversions i've seen were not as clean : they always had extra screws showing or whatever. I wanted the cleanest conversion. I had to be very inventive. Most of what i did i had to come up with myself. It helped in the way that it showed me what i didn't want :p

IS THIS THE OLDEST FIREARM on the planet produced by O.F.Mossberg & Sons?

BROWNIESN91010_edited-1.jpg

MOSSBERG BROWNIE VARIATION #0.5, SERIAL NUMBER 91. Indicates it is from Oscar's FIRST WEEK'S PRODUCTION in 1919.

The above is latest discovery of a new Variation of the venerable old Mossberg Brownie, and I've given it the identity of VARIATION #0.5. We now have FIVE known Variations of Mossberg's little "Founding Father."

All serial numbers match HOWEVER, the frame and barrel cluster numbering is stamped into the LEFT SIDE rather than the right side as on ALL OTHER Brownies observed/reported. Only THREE known specimens reported so far: 91, 92 and 106.

I would very much appreciate hearing from anyone who owns a Brownie with similar left side stampings.

Many thanks for the kind words, drew345. If you look back to 2008 on this thread, my Post 77 talks about my little rifle made in Ontario: TOBIN $5 BOY SCOUT RIFLE.

Below is an advertisement for the rifle, found in a 1913 issue of the magazine, Rod and Gun in Canada, also headquartered in Woodstock, Ontario. Tobin also built Canada's FIRST shotgun factory in Woodstock, 1912.

I've since had my TOBIN RIFLE information published in the 2012 Edition Gun Digest. Only six rifles known/reported, five in Canada and mine.

Would greatly appreciate hearing from anyone who owns one of these unique and VERY rare little rifles.

Best regards ~ ~ ~ mauser

Mankind has a PERFECT safety record in Aviation; we've NEVER left one up there.

I love shooting this rifle.
Cooper TRP3 with 2oz. Jard trigger and Weaver T36 scope.
I tried it out yesterday with a Hoehn tuner.
First time I've ever tried a tuner.
Still have some testing to do.
Heading off to the range this afternoon to work with tuner again..
I think I'm close to being zeroed in.

Here's my Henry H001 with the "brasslite" receiver cover and barrel band:

A man from the Henry factory made a limited production run of them, and I was lucky to snag one. I'm interested in grabbing a big loop lever for it now, but can't find anyone that sells them. Anyone happen to know if any of the sponsors carry them?
