Hey guys I though you might want to see what I did what all the questions and moaning and buying stuff off some of you. I made the bench with the 2 lee presses out of round stock and some angle iron welded together and put in a 1" plywood center and a peice of burned oak on top of that. The other bench is just MDF board and 2x4's with a high solid polyurethane paint making it hard as a rock.
Also have a 2 pictures of 2 bottles of booze that froze in my freezer wondering if you know the temp it takes to freeze 40% vodka and run, and a picture of my daughter having a canadian! lol
If your wondering how I made the vinyl on the top of the work bench I have a machine at work Gerber something, thats how I made the browning vinyl on the wall and the other stickers around the room.
Cheers guys let me know what you think and what you would improve.

You have a great start there. For the better part of ten years I struggled in a dark basement, good lighting is key. A great way to get the lighting perfect is before the renos get started, the pot lights give you maximum head room. Downside is they cast a narrow light path but you won't knock out the bulb with a rifle muzzle.

Your reloading bench looks nice and sturdy, is it anchored to the wall?
Can't see what you are using for a powder measure or scale. If you are using a manual beam scale mount it on a shelf anchored to the wall right above your press bench, at eye level. It is amazing how it will save your neck and back on extended loading sessions.
 
First your daughter is giving you that look of "it isn't open". So how am I suppose to sip it?

The reloading room looks good but there is still empty space on the shelves. I found an old office chair at an auction(highback) that I reload with. Way more comfortable than a stool. Im a wee bit older than you I think, no padding left. I'm still building the house around my reloading room. If you ever pull the stuff away from the walls, paint them white it will brighten the room up exponentially.
On another note you might want to consider shelves that are to the ceiling in the reloading room. As your daughter grows things go to higher shelves!! I picture a big pile of different types of gunpowder all mixed together, play sand!!
I am now learning what things a cat can knock over, by walking by. Still looking for a feather I brought home. (insert cat burp).
And ps your freezers too cold!
 
Lighting has always been a sore spot in most loading rooms.I have four double florescents in a 14 x14 areaand there are times I feel I don't have enough light. The moral of the story is "don't ever get old".

We all know he has a proper 3/4" plywood, locking boxes with non-ferrous hardware, to put the primers and power in. So play sand should never happen.
 
X2 on the stool. Hard on your ass after a while.

I raised my bench so I stand and put an anti-fatigue mat down.

Your set up looks nice though!
 
Back when I first started out I wish I had that much space. My man cave was so cluttered I would take 30 minutes to find anything. Looks good man, have fun reloading.
 
... I'm envious ! You've got about 10x the space I've got ! ... You can never have too much light ! And an "Anti-Fatigue Mat" makes things so much more pleasant ! ..... David K
 
I love the anti-fatigue mat its great on the lower back, I like the set up so far The only thing I wish I had was more knowledge. I got a casing stuck in a resizing die last night almost lost my mind trying to get it out without wrecking the die.
