im looking for new creative things to put hole into and to make explode. someone mentioned paintballs, gonna try some next time im out shooting. i was thinking of putting one into a golf ball. wonder if anyone has put a rifle round through a golf ball yet, what the results looked like and what the chanced of a ricochet are? i dont wanna see the gold ball throw the bullet back at me if i hit it on a weird angle or something

right on, what do you shoot them with? im wondering what a 30.06 will do to one. i wanna say itll turn it into a bunch of little pieces but at the same time those little bastards are packed full of whatever they shove in there so it may just crack them.

.22 puts a small/tiny entrance hole and usually a crack in the back, .17hmr blows the back out of them and .204, well haven't found too many after shooting them, but they pretty much vapourize, haven't tried anything bigger yet...

haha nice, my buddy has a .17hmr, that little thing is fantastic, i cant get over how accurate it is. time to find out what the 30.06 will do to one :D ill have to visit the range early one day and set some up at 100 and 200 and see what i can do to them :D

my buddy was saying he wants to get together one day and hit some with his clubs and let me pick them off like clays with the shotgun. could make for an interesting day

Game of Golf:

1. Stick golf balls on golf tees starting at 100 yards (for centerfire) and move out to whatever distance you like.

2. Each shooter takes 3 shots at a golf ball starting at the closest one.

3. The number of shots it takes you to hit the Golf ball is your score for that "hole". Ifyou miss all three shots then your score is 4.

4. The shooter with the lowest score at the end of the match is the winner.

from what I've been told my grandfather "invented" this game back in the early 50's I think it was. Probably not true to cool none the less.

2" Rubber Ducky with the .308 above. 150 yards. The numbers indicate the shots as he ducky was bouncing around the ground. #4 shot was actually a miss, the black mark was left by the bullet rubbing against the rubber as it passed.

haha i love it man, yet more things id never think to shoot at. i love those heavier grain exit holes. thanks for the pics.

were in the process of moving, maybe ill shoot things were throwing out, seems that would make more sense, lol

We shoot golf balls with the shotguns. Hand thrown and hit with a load of #6 it will drive a golf ball out farther than a driver will if hit well.

i drill a hole in the golf ball, pull a string through and tie a knot at the bottom. tie said dangley golf ball to whatever floats your boat and shoot till its gone as it swings around and around lol.

I once fired a .357, 158Grain round nose bullet into a golf ball at 100 yards.
The interesting thing was, the bullet entered and never exited.
The enterance hole is small.
I now have a very heavy golf ball!
If I didnt think it would destroy my driver, I would like to nail it down a fairway to see how it flies now! Lol!

Golf balls are fun but if you want a real challenge, try to put a 3 shot group into a canadian dime. And yes I have done it with a remington 700 vssf in .204 ruger. You have to make sure it is well taped to your target otherwise you will never find it.
