CC in Canada..what would you carry?

I've heard the Kel Tec PF 9 is quite good for CCW. No printing and very reliable. It does have a bit more flip than other due to weight but apparently that's not so much of an issue.
It's a tool you hope you never have to use, therefore it's really just something to lug around. You should not feel it after a while or you will stop carrying and That's when you'll need it..... when it's in the safe at home.

I bet the people wished they had been able to carry on that Gray Hound bus in Manitoba.

I don't see the need to carry in town, but if I did I would look for small, accurate, powerful and reliable. That means a Glock 30 in .45 ACP.

Where I would like to carry is hiking in the mountains. A S&W 629 in .44 Mag. for bears and a Browning Buckmark .22LR pistol for plinking or alternatively a Ruger Super Blackhawk .44 and a Ruger Single Six .22 would be a lot of fun.

I've got the Quick Action Trigger. I like the long steady trigger pull, shoot it way better than a revolver or 1911. It's small, light, accurate, extremely ergonomic... but it has major muzzle jump cuz it's so light. I don't think I'd want one in .40
I think the general consensus was that the double action only trigger was a peice of s**t and the single/double action was terrible on the first round but good after that.... I always read alot about a gun before I buy one. What I was saying is that the P99 is the cream of the polymer/striker fired crop. It's basically a refined Glock.
I know what you were saying.

My point is that I think the P99 is okay. I do not think it is as good a performer as the Glock 17, though.

If you shoot the QAT better than a 1911 trigger, then that is a training issue specific to you. The 1911 trigger is the easiest trigger to master of all combat pistols, bar none.

The PPQ might turn out to be a better pistol than the Glock...but we'll see. The P99 leaves me a little cold.

Snubby revolver or a micro compact that fits in the pocket. Having lived in a CC state for several years, I will say that after the first time you have to take a dump in a public washroom stall, you will never want to carry a full size pistol again. Same goes for those really hot days where you just want to go out in shorts and a T. Remember: that pistol HAS to stay concealed no matter what you are wearing.

S&W M&P340 would be my choice...

LOL @ people wants to carry a 1911 or other full size. You know they will print and not to mention you will get tired of them because of the weight/size.

That's why I'd rather carry a light, compact .32ACP, all of the time.
Rather than a 1911, some of the time.
If a 32 was good enough for Jimmy Bond,
then it's good enough for me!:)

The P99 is the best gun in the world. It also has the best trigger in the world. A 1911 has the worst trigger in the world. It's over 100 years old.
It stinks around here. Im going for a piss.

Glocks are the AK47 of the pistol world. And you know what they say about AK's, right?
They were designed for people who didn't have flush toilets.I seen alot of outhouses when I was in Bat country.
Alas, it's time for my lunch. I think I'm gonna have some red salmon. I feel a powerful lust for red salmon.

I dont see what your getting at

Dont drink and type :D

I can out shoot most 1911 owners with my Glock 34 "not because the Glock is better. But because most people have fancy guns, that they dont know how to shoot"

A guns as only as good as the person behind it
