When is the Ruger 77/357 out In Canada?

I've been trying to buy one for the last 2 weeks, & was told the distributor has some on order, which are spoken for. The next expected delivery time line is sometime in February! Same bull$h1t everytime something new is released.
Seems like we live in a 3'rd world country....

Oh well, it will be that much sweeter when we can get em!:ar15:

4 things on my Xmas list and still the same line from my good friends at the store.
"No idea when they'll will be in."

Single 10
77/357
SP101 .22lr
SR1911

How is it bull$hit exactly? It has nothing to do with being in Canada... Ruger can't build them fast enough.

Same as their SR1911, there is a 2 year delay just to build the ones they currently have backordered for distributors!

What does one use a 77/357 for?

.

I have the 77/44 and would like to have the 77/357 added to my collection. I would think the 357 would be less expensive to reload, less recoils then the 44 mag and would be great little rifle with a 5 round magazine for plinking or taking with me on my ATV when traveling my trails.

Yes there are other cartridges that can do the same or better but I find the 357 with it’s short bolt action would be ideal for my purpose...:D

I can see the 77/44 for hunting, but a 223 would be a better plinker than the 357 and good for varmints and deer with proper bullets.

Bottom line is that all guns are good. I just don't see the usefulness over others. :)

Love carbine in pistol caliber and the bolt action if i can refer to my 77-44 is much more accurate, for myself it will be a pleasure to have some of my grand childs upgrade from a 22 LR as the recoil is weak, for hunting 357 mag is more than enough for whitetail within 75 metres... JP.

I think this will cater to Americans who wish to stockpile alot of ammo that can be used in their pistols and the same ammo in their rifles. Paranoia is running strong down south and if I lived there, I might feel the same way. A house might already have a .357 for home defense already and picking up one of these rifles might fill a niche perhaps?

Seems like a long tradition.

I find the rifle neat and would like to own one, but I would also have a hard time finding a use.
If carrying it in the woods, I'd probably chose a lever action in 357 for extra capacity and quicker(for me anyways) follow ups.

I'm talking mainland woods, not on PEI.

Whatever they want...its a nice light weight, durable bush gun that you can scope easily in something cheaper to shoot then .44Mag. Can have really soft shooting/plinking loads with .38Spl(I know people CAN play with making reloading lighter loads but not everyone reloads) and it makes a nice parter to a Ruger GP100 :)

In some states you are only allowed to deer hunt with rifles in pistol calibers. I think it would be just the ticket for small deer and hogs or kids learning to hunt. Should make a great truck / brush rifle.
