You Know You're a Handloading Addict If...

I was going to post something similar today. I came to realize last night that I'm fairly certain I enjoy reloading more than I do shooting:redface:

In the last few weeks I've loaded up thousands, many thousands... of cartridges, yet, I've only shot maybe 200-300 this year... (not counting the thousands of shotgun shells I shot)

You know you're a handloading addict if:
If you have more reloading manuals than you have guns
If you have die sets for chamberings you have not ever owned. [yet]
Your reloading bench(s) has 3 single stage presses and two progressives.
Eagleye.

You know you are a handloading addict if:
You only buy powder and bullets in bulk.
Your reloading bench is in your "living room".
Your wife swipes one of your reloading scales for the kitchen - and you don't notice it missing because you have three more.

I actually went out shooting today so that I would have something to do tonight. How sad! I have no life.

How true.
I invite my friends out shooting, because the they like shooting and I like casting and reloading.
No one is able to shoot with me until the middle of December, so I slipped out for a few hours this afternoon and "tested some loads".

Now I have some reloading to do for for tomorrow.

You know you're an addict if you take apart factory loads that you are given, so you don't waste brass firing the factory ammo.

I'm a lot like that, I'm not comfortable unless I have a few hundred rounds of ammo pre-rolled.

One day I loaded 1000 rounds of 9mm on my Lee turret press, it only took about 8 hours.

You Know You're a Handloading ( casting) Addict If you have 300 lbs of lead in the garage,200lbs in basement, another 200 under the porch and still worry about running out.

You cast for everything you shoot ( even 223).

  • You measure sugar for your coffee in tenths of a grain.

  • The predominant decoration in your basement is framed catalogue prints of bullets.

  • (with apologies to Jeff Foxworthy) Your wife calls, "Come move this powder so I can take a bath!"

Since the old lady left my ass, I moved into a 1bdr suite, and half of the bedroom is a reloading bench.

That's how dedicated I am
