.45 acp rifle ANy Updates 2 years in the running???

With the lack of feedback from John, it appears to be DOA. 2bad4us! I think he had a winner here.

Didn't John retire or "re-focus" or some-such?

Anyway... ya, a winner for sure. It's be nice if anyone from Marstar saw fit to give us any kind of an update.

<<I checked John's post history, and he was commenting on the African SKSs yesterday, so he's still around, just ignoring this thread, I guess?>>

I've been trying to import one of the DeLisle Carbine remakes manufactured by Valkyrie Arms (check out their website http://www.valkyriearms.com/) for about 2 years now, but Valkyrie does not seem interested in returning telephone calls or E-mails at all. We even have a US-based exporter acting as a middle-man, but they, too, have had absolutely zero response from Valkyrie with regard to this order. I've still got my eye on the prize, but she's starting to look a little murky!

I think we're about to get some positive news on the Canadian-led initiative  , either this week or next.....:)

No not at all, as mentioned some time ago, because of all the flack we catch everytime talk about about something, we will only comment or announce material when it is in fact here.... In the warehouse

No not at all, because of all the flack and negative reactions we get every time we discuss something either in the planning stage or for later delivery, I did mention sometime ago that we will only discuss new material when it is here, in our warehouse.... It should be easier that way

The real purpose of the post ... 10 days since the last bump to the top ;)

I’m sure there will be a few folks here that tired of waiting BUT will snap one up in a heartbeat once they finally do materialize. I know I’ll be in line for one, and the M1911 magazines in my safe are still waiting patiently for their new friend too.

Besides, we should give John a break since it’s ONLY been a couple years. You guys should know by now it’s a long drawn-out process to bring something in. Besides, first John has to convince all the good CGNs in the milsurp group to stop restoring all those Bubba’d enfields so he can buy them up and ship them down to Valkyriearms to convert them into the DeLisle Commando Carbine. Since they only ship to licensed firearms dealers, we’re all SOL and guys like John have us by the short and curlies!

Be gentle with all of us John!

P.S. Please put me down for 1st on the DeLisle list when they come in. I called it … dibs! Besides, even though it's been 2 YEARS, I still consider Marstar and me “PAL”s. :)

.45 Enfield Conversion

Search the Milsurp forum for posts in the last few months by "Juanvaldez". He has an interesting way of turning a Lee-Enfield into a short-barrel .45 ACP rifle.

special interest arms' .45 acp rifle

don't think this can be bought in canada, and hence don't mean any disrespect to Marstar.

just think it's an interesting read

Would probably look something like this:

Awsome carbine, i'm in for at least one, i like the enfield to build off of.

are these .45 acp carbines going to be a fully assembled and sold rifle?
Or can just the conversion parts be available?
I know of a crate of no.4 mk1's somewheres and would love to convert a couple of them to .45 acp.
Or .44 magnum would be great also, using .44 desert eagle mags!
especially if the barrels have the standard .578x28 tpi threaded muzzle, or any threads if its a bull barrel! for the .45 acp of course!

How about a .45 acp upper assembly and magazines for the AR platform, or lower.
Olympic arms makes such an assembly kit.
Ya i know olympic arm's quality feedback from their customers in the past.
I must say that with the AR rubber accu wedge, the Olympic Arms .45 acp conversion kit is decent enough with the example i own. I've had lots of fun with it.

A canadian manufacturer should make the same thing.

Or better yet a conversion for the Rob arms xcr in .45 acp, 5.7x28mm, 7.62x25mm tok and 9mm.

Bridonnic: it's not that your ideas aren't good ones; but the problem with using the AR platform is that even if it isn't semi-auto, it'll be restricted. I think most of us were wanting something we could pack around in the bush.
Using the XCR is another good idea, if someone would give me a 90% discount.
