Just watchin' Les and first he dings a 'yote with some Dude on a tractor behind the dog then at the end of the episode he shoots another with 2 roads in the background behind the 'yote. Did you just watch it too ? Notice whats behind the target ? Would you have shot ?

Some of that footage amazes me. I'm sure a lot of it is edited to look like Les always gets them but many video shots are with him in the foreground and approaching coyotes past...so no BS on those ones. Got to remember the camera is panned in tight. Objects that look right in the line of fire may be 2 or 3 miles distant and one has to remember the camera person may be shooting from a different angle as well. Still, this may not demonstrate safe shooting practices. I have a hard enough time getting yotes to commit without a camera man poking his head up.

I agree. Very rarely is the cameraman located directly behind Les. And he doesn't get them all the time.
I thought that Predator Quest was better before the last year or two. Now he spends more time pushing his sponsors than shooting coyotes. I think that it is the best predator hunting show of the bunch.

I couldn't agree more. The last episode I watched was virtually all one big "PLUG"of his sponsors or his own stuff.

As for being the best predator hunting show? I think that Dead Dog Walking has the edge on Predator Quest

My 0.02¢

Yup, it's all about endorsing products, selling advertising and making money....which is the whole grand scheme. No different than Hockey Night In Canada and the NHL. I do get some entertainment out of Les Johnson and his quest. He doesn't come across as being full of himself and I wouldn't mind having a few beers with the guy.

Agree! Gotta pay da bills. I love the show but feel cold by the end. Does he always have to hunt in the snow?!

I enjoy the show Les is a good hand caller aswell! Plus has a wicked shot :)

I recall watching him shoot a Coyote then turn around while picking up the shot gun and shooting a big ass coon behind him haha

His show it too repetitive for me. Every set he makes the same call, shoots a coyote, then spends 15 minutes plugging his sponsors.

I like Randy Anderson videos better, he changes it up a lot, different terrain all the time.

If you want to see a Coyote show you need to get ahold of Byron South "Coming to the Call" now this guys puts on a great DVD that one can learn from.

Les is a great guy, but like everyone, when you only hunt one animal for a show it hasd to get hard to put together 6-13 shows of different content. Little easyier when your hunting different animals all season long...

I have to agree it`s better than most, i watch it every once in a while. HCAB is good as well as CWH. Won`t watch the American deer hunting shows at all.

He was basically the first TV show didicated to hunting coyotes.
In Canada anyways.
Les Johnson seems like a very good guy, but his show spends too
much time plugging sponsor items than actually shooting coyotes.
His list of sponsors have changed drastically over the years .
HCAB has in the past has put out very good dedicated coyote hunt DVD's
and has had the odd coyote episode on his show.
(Jason, we are still waiting for # 3)

There is 3 new shows that i am aware of that are,
"Dead dog walking", "Fast and Furious"
and "The coyote Kid".
These are showing great potential, as well as
Mojo's "Coming to the Call" with Byron South.
But they all have sponsors to plug just like all of the
types of hunting shows.
It is frustrating but we have to learn to live with it.
The alternative would be a dedicated hunting channel
with no commercials but with membership dues
higher than the best #### channel :)

I wish Les wouldn't wear that coyote pelt "Mountain Man
" hat when he is on stand....

Predator Quest is one of a handful of shows on WildTV that are worth watching. I like it.

There's way worse shows regarding endorements... Jim Shockey is the biggest schill there is...

Quite a few of you guys complain about the sponsor plugs. How do you think these shows get made? Sponsors are what make the hunting shows happen, period. Just be glad that we have a few dedicated hunting and outdoors channels sponsored by companies that keep the industry going.

You are correct, but there seems to be a lot more "sponsor talk" now than there used to be.

Even my 14 year old son won't watch The Coyote Kid. I don't care for Dead Dog Walking either. Those guys should stick to the Fowl Life. I haven't seen Fast and Furious and I have only seen Coming to the Call once. Too early t tell here.
