Your least favorite rifle in your posession

I have pretty discerning tastes, gun must have a great trigger, must be accurate and to at least some degree must be pretty. If they ever miss something I care about without an easy explanation like a tree branch etc they disappear in a hurry. I don't like plastic stocks, I've had McMillans and a few other brands over the years and disliked all of them. I'm not big on Stainless although it's just a thing, no real reason for it.

So I don't have any rifles I don't like, but have owned several for relatively brief periods.

I have finished thinning the herd somewhat, the last rifle to go was an inherited Win. 490 as I would have never used it. Sold to a friend here on CGN that takes it to bed with him at night.:D

A Henry .22 lever

It was my first gun so I can't quite bring myself to sell it. But to be honest the love has died

It helps its not worth a whole lot so its easy to justify keeping it. Its just a matter of safe real estate that I keep thinking of getting rid of it.

Mossburg lever action in 30.30. The gun shoots and operates ok, but the iron sights are the worth piece of sh*t to ever get installed on a rifle. can't believe these guys are still in business?

My buddy's Mossburg shotgun and 4X4 rifle and his Savage rifle that he stored in my locker for a few days while his family was in between houses. I did not sleep well knowing there was a Mossburg in the house. Even my Handler made fun of the Mossburgs, especially the 4X4.

My Sako 75 SS Synthetic in 300 Win Mag. Great rifle, but an "in between" caliber for me. If going lighter game, I take one of my 270's and if heavier game, one of my 338's. It sits in the safe neglected. Maybe should re-barrel it to something I would use?

An AG-42B converted to .308 and M-14 mags......though it's "kinda cool" ;) , it always has these "quirks" to it and b/c I know I'll never get anything remotely near the purchase price "back" from selling it :D , I guess I'll keep it....

Enfield sporter my dad gave me. Took it out once a year and a half ago and that was it.

Waiting for my nephew to get his license so i can give it to him and let him hate it.

I have the opposite problem, I like them all and trying to figure which to sell but that's really hard. I want to keep it down to ones that I will shoot often but just can find a reason to part with any of them, must exercise some self control.

You have to be kidding me, guys. All the hoops that you have to jump through to get your paws on any kind of a gun and still you have a gun you don't like?

Come on over here to Merrie olde England, where what WE have to do makes it look like you are forced to have a gun by a grateful gubmint...

tac, shaking head...

i know it says centerfire but the only rifle i would get rid of at this time is a marlin in 22mag because I have two other 22mags and a 17hmr so this one is three years old with about a 100 rounds down the pipe... I just grab one of the others.

Norinco SKS. That fn thing blew hot podwer back in my face when shooting through the back of the reciever cover somehow. The lop was horrible, and accuracy was marginal at best. Any optic solution was a pain as well. It was replaced by a CZ 858 that I still keep.
