I guarantee the 858 will be deemed prohibit or all models restricted before end of the LGR.
The police do not want a glut of cheap assault rifles on the streets.
Besides its the second cousin of an AKM.
If I had one Id know nows the time to sell it.

The Czechs developed it to be on par or to surpass the AK47
It uses the same ammo, same barrel length and was designed to be employed as an assault rifle and was supplied to communist guerillas and terror groups world wide.
This rifle will be snapped up before LGR is suspended.

i don't wanna live in a country where only the cops and the criminals have firearms. power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. taking the power away from the public only serves the interests of the criminals and the cops... not the public who is the majority. prohibiting law abiding citizens firearms would be as good a reason as any for me to become an expatriot. do you think the gangsters and killers care about gun laws you're a fool only a coward would let their own safety be put in the hands of someone else.

They ran of the promise of banning handguns and "assault weapons" which by their definition was anything semi auto with a detachable mag, bayonet lug, folding stock, exct. Make no mistake, if you are young you will probably see the government come after your 858 in your lifetime.

I think if they are not prohibited after the LGR passes we are going to see them on the news quite frequently in the hands of bandana masked natives at hi way blockades and such.
It was the Mohawks use of the norinco AKs at Oka that was the death knell for ownership of this type of rifle in Canadian citizens hands.
It was not poly technique as mini 14s are still on the "good" list.
