I really hate to #### on a SFRC thread, especially since they've filled my gun collection out a fair bit. But once again, I'm obligated to inform people what the deal is with these. It is NOT a case of minor tinkering! These guns are unsafe no matter what you do! Why?

The recievers are made of pot metal.

I'm not joking. The pump rails WILL break off over time. It happened to mine, and I've seen several with rails bending down like mine did before it broke. The recievers are made of some kind of pot metal that simply doesn't take the abuse. Those of you who have bought one of these, be very careful and inspect it regularly! You may get a few hundred rounds through before it's toast if you just use target load, but slugs will kill it off a fair bit quicker.

guys.... they were 90 bucks... criticize all you want but they are great truck guns or backups.... and thumbs up to the dealer for selling them as is and putting in a disclaimer... you get what you pay for .... but by ee standards this was a deal....

I bought one just because, however ,has anyone had one of these that did not fail in some way, I thought norinco stuff was rough but safe!

Ya I can handle a little tinkering. Are people saying barrels are going to bursting?!? Tinkering can be fun and challenging but I doubt they would sell them if there was a chance these were all gonna blow up. Right?

2 3/4 and 3". Feed ramp sometimes needs to be rebent at the tip. Also a few have had the action bar(s) break down the road. Most are fine but we put that warning down just in case.

This is taken from the first page. I seriously doubt anyone would sell a unsafe product, especially a site sponsor. Kudos for SFRC for offering this deal. Chances are most will be fine, and even if you get a lemon it sounds like you can get a few serviceable years out of the thing. $90 is the equivalent of a nice evening out with the missus, and in this case I'll just rent a movie and stay in.

I still think it is a good deal.I find it strange that when all were sold out thats when the remarks that they are no good started.

A good price, I was going to grab one... but if its a structural metal issue on a shotgun... that sounds a little scary. Too much BOOM to shoot out of something that may be inadequately designed. Even if it last a year, when it does fail, will it be a catastrophic failure? Will it injure you, your family, friends nearby or someone else at the range. Will it injure you so you can't shoot again?

Will the vendor warranty it? NO? That says it all. We will see how these hold up, and I really hope they last, for everyones sake.

Just be cautious... "To good to be true" often proves...true. (Wear glasses and gloves maybe..)

How many of these shotguns are out there right now working just fine? I googled for issues found only the 2 youtube videos. And there are 1 or 2 guys here in this post. How many of you here own a remington 600? I had a 600 that went off by itself a few times that didnt stop me from buying remington rifles.

Well I tried to get one but the dealers online store wouldn"t let me check out and after two calls to SFRC today getting no answer I might as well give up. Hell they didn't even return my phone calls. It was my understanding that they had more than 100 shotguns in stock.

If you tried today you are 2 days too late. Ryan is great but they are a very small shop and essentially two businesses. I'm sure he will get back to you.

Phone rang off the hook for these today and we haven't had time to reply to all the emails/voicemail. They all sold out in less than 24hrs.

I bought 3 a few minutes after the ad was posted. I could literally watch the amount of stock they had go down. You were way too late...
