I'm considering selling one of my rifles, but can't figure out what it's worth.....opinions please?

It's a .556 marked 14.5" Armalite M15 (A4), got new (Came from John Hipwell's collection on a trade). It is bone stock except for an ergo grip, and is pretty much flawless in the original box/etc.

Round count is an honest to god 10 rounds of IVI.

Any marks you see in the pics are either dust or oil :)

Opinions appreciated :)

I sold one very similar to it (near-new Armalite 16") a couple of years ago for somewhere between $1100 and $1200, can't recall the exact price. I would thing that somewhere in that ballpark would be fair :)

EDITED TO ADD: ...dug through some photos, and it was actually a 14.5" (not m4 profile, though) that I sold, not a 16".

16" though.....it's the 14.5 specifically that I'm looking for.....a lot more rare I'm told.
I was offered 1700, but I'm not sure where I should be on it.

I'd say $1500 to $1700. I bought one exactly like It unfired three years ago for $1700. That was during the AR drought. Only premium AR's at very fair prices, seem to be selling right now.

keep it, shoot it, you'll need it for the zombies!!

I have another :)

it's worth 2 or 3 hundred bucks… but you seem like a nice guy so i'll give you 400 for it ;)

Deal...but shipping is going to be a ##### :D

Thanks. I've gotten 10 PM's saying the same thing (and three more offers to purchase).....so it looks like the 17 inc. sights/grip/etc is fair.

The 14.5" are worth more. Especially if it's marked 5.56mm on the barrel as well. Look at the LMT pricing difference.

That being said I have one of the 16" enhanced patrol carbines as pictured in that link.

Great rifle. The Fab defence stock is decent. Also the lower is 5.56mm on mine although the upper is 223. I also have an older Armalite 5.56mm lower and frankly it's just not the same quality as the new one I have. The fit/finish of the new ones are excellent.

That 14.5" is probably worth $1700 if the barrel is also 5.56mm. If not then $1300 is probably a decent price. The LMT price difference is a decent way to gauge this. Also keep in mind that current LMT prices will make the Armalite worth a bit less than previously.

For me 1700$ is too expensive.

A fair price would be 1400-1500$

You can buy an 14.5 LMT brand new for around 1700$. With a new rifle you get warranty and it's NEW.

A gun is like a car if it's used even a little 10 rounds, the gun is now use and you can't ask the same price as a new one.

If someone offered you 1700$ sell it now...

But here's the thing.....you can't BUY a 14" M15 new.....it's not about the barrel length specifically. You, me, anyone can buy a 14.5" LMT right now (for 2k after all the taxes, etc) with a mouse click and a credit card.

If you are an Armalite guy though........ ;)

Its an armalite so that is a minor negative for some. As well the twist rate is typically abit slow. I would pay maybe $1000-1100 for it as its used and theres no shortage of guns to be had right now either new or used.

How old do you suppose it is? I think my old armalite said AR-15 on the side, but I cant recall seeing an m15 before. (maybe they do...I didnt own it very long:redface:) Thats kind of unique, its almost a shame to put it on zombie watch really. Whats in it for a bolt carrier semi or full?
