Nice gun, shoots great. I did notice that one of the mags that came with the gun fails to keep the slide open when empty after firing , but all the other mags have no issues. I bought 5 Wilson Combat 47D mags with it to be sure i had good working mags. I fired 400 rounds. Was a fun day. .45ACP is expensive lol, i may be selling this sooner then i thought but i do have several hundred more rounds to go.;)

Here are some pics, was using American Eagle 230g FMJ, targets are about 25-30 feet away.

I love the sig 1911s. And yeah, .45 is expensive. I usually only pick up one box of 50 when I go out.

9mm keeps me shooting for hours, but .45 keeps me poor for a month lol.

Very Nice

Good Day

Congats on your new girl, she is a very nice tribute to our soldier's who put their lives on the line daily to maintain our freedom's and way of life.
That is some fine shooting and yes I am well aware .45acp is pricey to shoot.

Take Care

Looks like it's pretty chilly outside where you are shooting. It also looks like you had a lot of fun! Great looking 1911.

I don't currently own a .45 but when I did I reloaded my ammo so that took a bit of the strain off my wallet...just a bit. :)

I don't understand the cost thing. I've been reloading for years and shoot as much as I want, whenever I want. 9, 40, 45, 44Mag. 38/357, 30-30 Win, 12Ga round ball buckshot...You can't buy, it's too expensive. I cast bullets as well. You have to if you're serious!

Now I feel pressured to say something meaningful:D.

Nice pistol! I'm always envious of people smart enough to get multiple magazines right off the bat. Your spread on the targets looks very consistant, thanks for the pics!

I'm pretty amature when it comes to shooting, I have to say the forgiving trigger on the 1911 does make a difference.

Sounds like the HOD (hold open device) on that mag needs an adjustment. Put a working mag in, and pull the slide back. Look at the mag and see how the tab is pushing up on the slide release locking the slide back. On the bad mag, take a pair of needle nose pliers and bend it so it engages the slide release.

Ill take a look when i get home, thanks.

What do the dog tags say?

One says:

"I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies"

The other says:

"Not Forgotten".

Here is a write up somebody else did on the Net. I have the knife, ill take some pics of the whole kit when i get a chance. I read that there were only 500 of these made. Not sure though.

The Sig Sauer 1911 POW-MIA pistol and knife set honors and remembers those who have served and sacrificed for their country. With a stainless finish, the 1911 POW-MIA has a barb wire patten etched along the side of the slide. On top of the slide is engraved the American flag and a pair of dog tags with one reciting the soldier's oath "I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies" and the other stating "Not Forgotten". On the grips is the POW-MIA Flag, with it's motto "You Are Not Forgotten". Also included is a KA-BAR knife in a black finish, also featuring the POW-MIA Flag and the words "Never Forget". Both the pistol and the knife come in a rugged Pelican iM2100 Storm Case. This commemorative package is ideal for the collector who is looking for something honor our countries soldiers.
