Pistol Classes at PCFGA. Update: very sad news. See Post 175

Ok some people are looking for some rifles classes on top of these amazing pistol classes from a top notch instructor!

Let's get it on then. What kind of rifle class are you looking for? Give me some ideas and we will get on it.

With your unique range up there, some intermediate to long (100-300m), would be great...
Not often we get to run the rifles at that range, which is unfortunate, for guy's not shooting Service Rifle.

We had a intermediate distance class last year and most people do not realize how much of an important class it is. Lots of people like to shoot at 25m and pose infront of the mirror but knowing how to hit your target out there is what is key.

100% correct.
You have no idea how pissed off I was to have missed that intermediate distance course.
That's really what it's all about, once you have the mechanics of your rifle down. The 25m and in is great for stress manipulation of your guns, but ID is where it's at.
If I recall, Paul had some 'thoughts' on that (go figure...), but he wasn't up for that class, was he..?
I recall the discussion, w/ Aaron and Paul, at the Abby FR/AFR course.

I'm sure Paul has thoughts on everything imaginable.

IDFR was an excellent class. Second only to Fighting Shotgun, IMO. One of the reasons it worked so well here last year was because we had a very dry winter and spring. Without being able to use the muskeg we have a lot less ground to work on.

Well, I'm finally going to make a course! At least I hope I get the time off that I requested.

Might have a long term illness that week if I don't get it! :p

Awesome. It will be great to finally see you at a class.

I'm sure we can arrange a mildly debilitating illness to ensure you can attend.;)

I haven't signed up yet but am almost there for all 5 days. Question for you guys in the area. What hotel would you suggest and how far from the range is it?

Also considering the drive I would love to tack on a few days of CZ specific training. If this could be accommodated I would be interested

And for any of you on the fence, I was in Abbotsford last year with Paul and he is the real deal. I was there for the rifle but the few things I took away for my pistol were gems.

The Nova Inn would be my suggestion. It's close to grocery, fast food, and Tim Hortons for that early morning caffeine hit. It's about a 10 minute drive to the range from there but the farthest you can get in PR is about 12 minutes from the range.;)

There's also ample space for camping at the range. Limited power hook-ups and porta-johns, but no potable water. We have had guys bunk in the clubhouse too. It's heated, with stove, microwave and fridge available.

Yaarrghhh everytime something cool comes up in Peace River I am moving/working/traveling/studying. One year I swear I will be free!
