I wood just like to get a small carbine not a fight

Then if it is not available from the distributor, just buy a Mare's Leg and install a replacement stock. A stock - which requires a bit of fitting - can be purchased from Boyds. The result is a very short, handy carbine. A friend went this route, and it is an easy, practical modification.

Ciappa recamed North Sylva for the stock that is why i am asking them
I have a mare's lag just need the stock it wood be better to get it from Canada and not the US

Don't know about a Cdn. made replacement stock, but Boyds welcomes Cdn. business, and will mail this reasonably priced stock without any problems.

Butt stocks aren't hard to make. Why not carve one up.
Make it your own. Some traditional designs on the sides.
Post what you come up with.
Others have done a lot of great customizing to their legs.

Here's an idea. since the three different models all copy an antique style, why not pick up an antique crescent butt plate and carve a stock to fit with a crescent antique butt plate. Polish it up to match the finish of the gun. Crapity, now I have to get one in .44 Mag. Thanks a lot CARVERK !!

One more idea. There is nothing that pisses off those ass-hats in this post more than completely ignoring them. This takes away their little moment of fame and reduces them to the babbling morons that they truly are. Try it and see. Good on the ones who appologized for the missunderstanding in humour. Takes an honorable person to do that. There are three spelling mistakes in my second last sentence if anyone cares to fling SH!!t at me.

I don't have the time right now to carve a stock soo i will order one fore now ,till i can make my own stock later on.
Hunting with such a small carbine will be fun

Why not just buy a Marlin 1894c then.

I do like the marlin's but I like the 92 and 94 the best.
The plan is to have a small carbine that is so light that it gets packed every where and has a 12 inch barrel small and light is what i am after

The more i think about it the more I like the Henry 45 mares lag(carbine) add a full butt stock
that way I can engrave the brass parts!
I have wonted one of them fore a long time

Just curious, if I'm not doing cowboy action shooting, wouldn't the .44 magnum be a much more powerful round? On paper it is and I wouldn't imagine you can load any of these Mare's Lags with hot .45LC. Waddaya think?

Foxer, which of the three would you recommend as the best for quality materials and workmanship. I don't live close enough to go to multiple stores to check them out. Methinks you is one of the smart guys when it comes to these little beasts.

I wood love a 44 mag the ammo is not so hard to find
I do wish thay wood start bing in sum of Chiappa 92 carbines in with the 12 inch barrel and in 44 mag
Chiappa do make them all ready!
Thy make a 12,16,and 20 inch barrel carbines ready to go
With 12 inch barrel the small carbine look like way to much fun to not bring it along out in the bush
as for shooting 45 colt hot lodes in a henry or 92 i dont think it wood be a problem if it is worked up slowly and for hunting good at blakpowder rang for hunting the 45 will hold its own if you can find the ammo that is were 44 mag is better

I got of the phone with Wanstall I am getting a Chiappa carbine in 44 mag and with the 12 inch barrel !
got to love those short barrel rifles

Yes, .45LC.
The stock looks to be easily changed. Just one screw I can see, unless there is another behind the butt plate like an Enfield.
I would love to try making one myself, if I have the time.
I will probably wind up buying One though. Just to have.
