Rimfire Pics...Show em off!!!

What exactly are the kids shooting? I saw similar compact rifles at a recent gunshow and im planning on getting one next time i come across them, but i dont even know what they are lol.

Norinco JW15 backpacker (I think this one is a CZ action and uses CZ mags?)
Stevens 300F/305F (305 is in .22WMR, 300 in .22lr. Aside from the barrel, they look identical to the full length Stevens/Savage Mark IIs)

Just cleaned this one up this week ...

At least half of it is a rimfire :D

Kel-Tec PLR-22:

I wish Vault would bring in the SU-22 with the same short barrel. Combined with the telescoping M4 stock kit it would make a great .22LR SMG that would be non-restricted and legal in the bush.

I've come to the realization that .22's are the way to go. Inexpensive to purchase, fun to shoot, cheap ammo and you don't need a 300 yard range. I think I'll be mainly buying .22's from now on.

Ithaca Gun Co. was founded 1883 in Ithaca, NY. Fifty some years later the company put their name on the FIRST pistols in their history: the 1911A1 .45acp pistol, PLUS the little M3 Greasegun SMG. The pistols and the stuttergun were produced for the US' WW II military effort. About 1997 they made only 125 model 1911A1s to commemorate their WW II guns, and those 15 were made for the exclusive use of the company which contracted for them.

The pistol below - only their second - was introduced almost a century later, 1988.

ITHACA GUN'S X CALIBER, single-shot, .22rf LR, dual rf/cf ignition, 10" barrel.

This unusual, and scarce, handgun was recently acquired from a California auction still in its original shipping carton, with original Owner Manual and Warrant card, plus original and labeled packing material. Gun appears to be unfired. It is serial number 00000101 of 300 pieces produced that one year.

The X CALIBER was planned for both .22rf and .44mag (reason for dual ignition), but none of the .44s were produced, according to the gun guides, due to "production problems." Note the MADE IN U.S.A. stamped on the barrel.

It's a heavy and unique .22rf I'm happy to have in my collection.

That is a very nice piece!

As much as I do understand the value of an "unfired" gun to a serious collector, I do hope you fire it at least once ... Guns are made to shoot, not as pieces of art ... Maybe not in this case as it is so very rare ... but still ... I'm not sure I could restrain myself from shooting it

Here is my sr-22. It is not finished yet and I took these photo's with my iphone so the quality is not great (lighting sucks). I plan on putting a bushnell trs-25 on it and I am getting the pws t3 mag release soon. I am using the promag clips (not shown in the pic because I don't have the proper mag release yet). I am also going to purchase the marauder barrel shroud to give it a nice thick look on the end. Lemme know what you think. I am considering putting a superior concepts or KID charging handle on it (black of course).
