M1A springfield vs M14 Norinco ...Is the Springfield worth the extra money?
Which one is the best deal?

Thanks for your input in advance:)

Norc. Lots of guys rave about them, and they can be made to compete with the SA for less money then the SA. Saying that....if you want out of the box top natch then pay for the SA I'd say, but if your willing to put some time in, and go to a m14 clinic, you could build a badass rifle for less cash

Yup, with an LRB dealer in Canada now, if yer gonna fork out a couple grand.... What's a springfield? Not worth it ;)

I still want a Springfield, just to say I had FOUR of them.... (well not all at once....) :D
That's what happens with a kid in Chiropractic College. "No M1A for YOU!" :nest:

Cheers,
Barney

not only no, but HE** NO, the only thing you're "buying into " is the ILLUSION that american made is better- and it's pretty pricey illusion- and i've had the REAL thing( 3 of which are still sitting in my safe, unusable b/c they're prohibs)and i haven't the heart or tools to knock them down and put them on lrb receivers

Right now I have both. Maybe I have the delusion that I will be back at Camp Perry one of these summers shooting NRA High Power once again... I'm not serious. I'm just dreaming. :D

I still liked the smooth edges of the M1A, mind you I can always build my own and not have to pay the $ 2K that the retailers are selling these units for! Hey, I was just reminded that $ 2K is a low price, then add the taxes and mailing.

Buy what works for YOU! :)

Cheers,
Barney

HA HA!!!! Winnnner!!!!! Springfield!!!

walked into a little gun shop in Northern Saskatchewan and found a brand new M1A standard composite black stock on consignment walked out with it for 1680 tax in it was made in the year of 2011.... Felt the Norinco they had there it was like a 1978 ford LTD..Heavy and Chinese...... I know the Norcos are great if you spend 1200 bucks on top...but the springfield was worth the money to me..
thanks for everyone's input

Buy what works for you ... or do what I did and buy both ... and then buy lots of USGI parts and get yourself some LRB M25 receivers and build more ... OOOoooh the addiction! :D
