Hey guys, I had an impulse buy moment when I found out one of the local hunting stores had 1 last supernova tactical instock at a decent price. It cheered up my day after canada post flailed the delivery of my glock 22, so it looks like I won't get it till monday, but thats okay because i'm gonna need lots of time to get aquainted with the supernova:D Its very smooth, and has very tame recoil with 2 3/4 target loads, im gonna pick up some slugs this weekend and head out in the day time. My only gripe is I wish I removed the magazine block before i went out:ninja:

Thanks alot man, i've been lusting over this particular shotgun for a while. I don't think I could have bought a better piece of kit, everything about the gun is solid. The ghost ring sights kick an unbelievable amount of ass, they offer a great sight picture. All in all, it wasn't cheap as far as shotguns go, but so worth it in my mind. Its everything I wanted in a shotgun.

You will not be dissapointed, the pointability of this shotgun is unparalled due to the drop of comb angle of the telescoping stock, and the 3.5" loads are just plain fun to see the fireworks :D

This thing gets more range time then Grizzly, 870, and 11-87 also :D :shotgun:

Your screwed now!!!! "once you go Benelli, you never go back"

I bought a Super nova tactical which lead to a M2 tactical and now I have a Benelli M4

Damn you Benelli and you fine a$$ guns!!! :p

Hahaha you know it pete. The italians have made some great products from ducati to benelli you know your getting the best. And dwisy, I too might be in the same boat as you haha I would love to get my hands on the M4. Another question for the supernova crew, I removed the magazine plug, I can now get 4+1 does that sound about right?

Welcome to the club, you'll be hard pressed to find as much aftermarket stuff for them as rem/mossberg...thats cos they come with all the good stuff from the factory ;) well worth the money, be sure to post back the day it malfunctions...I'm still waiting after 2 years :D

Exactly why I bought it, its got everything on it a guy needs! What do you boys use to clean yours with, I'm thinking about getting some CLP breakfree, but i'm not sure what to use for lubricant, any suggestions or comments as to what you use and how often you clean it. I'm going up to GP on monday for work so I'd like to give a nice once over before she gets cased. Anyways gents, I just picked up a case of federal ammo today and my ##### is hungry:D

For cleaning the bore I use Shooter's Choice shotgun and choke tube cleaner with a Hoppes Tornado brush. Nothing else Ive tried comes close, it literally takes 10 mins to get the bore spotless. For the rest, any gun oil is fine. Be sure to clean in the locking lugs of the barrel, it gets a bit gummed up in there. Any powder solvent will get the action clean, I use M-pro7 gun cleaner and oil. Dont oil the bore, its chrome lined so it needs no rust protection, oil will cause it to foul quicker and make it harder to clean. I clean mine every now and then when I'm bored, they dont need much maintenence at all.

I appreciate the reply, last night I went out and dumped another 75 rounds of federal 2 3/4 target load, apparently we had one misfire, my buddy said he heard the click and nothing...pretty sure it was an ammunition issue. Other than that I am absolutely loving this shotgun, i'm gonna go out and empty out some more rounds later tonight.

Does anyone know of a good aftermarket recoil pad that is made for this firearm?

Im looking for something that's more comfortable than the stock recoil pad especially when firing off the bigger shells.

If you have the fixed pistol gripped stock, a medium limbsaver slip-on is a good fit. Cant comment on the collapsible stock tho
