M203 on Norc 14.5"er

No, it is an M203 40mm launcher, not one of the Havoc launchers. Made by Lewis Machine and Tool Co. out of the states. They are the current producer, although I am under the impression that the US no longer allowing the export of them to Canada. They are Non-restricted in Canada, and I have seen a few floating around on the EE before.

EDIT: Here is the last one that I saw on the EE

It's not a legit 40mm rifled grenade launcher. They are considered NFA Destructive Devices and have NEVER been legally exported out of the USA.

What you've bought is a 37mm non-rifled flare launcher.

Please tell us how you've managed to get by all US laws by doing so?

Hey,

Its not a 37mm launcher. Its 40mm. Says Lewis Tool & Machine M203 right on the side. Its non-restricted. The bore is rifled, I looked at it. I was going to buy a 37mm, but then I came across this thing.

There are 40MM's in private hands in Canada. Strangeday even had a 40MM Milkor launcher at one point, that went south eventually tho.

Last I've seen your lookin at $5000 plus for a 40MM.

That being said, OP, your spending serious money on a 40MM then going to put it on a $600 rifle? Sure, maybe of your just using it as a host, but if that's the case is just get a stand alone mount.

The launcher's classification in Canada isn't the issue here. My point is that the launcher is not exportable by US law for civilian end users. You still haven't answered that question. Sounds to me like what you're considering is airsoft related.

They're in private hands in Canada. Have been for many years. What Strangeday has/had wasn't made in the US nor was it exported from there.

Op, until you discover the legal way that device came to Canada, it may be in your best interest to agree with the naysayers, and "realize" that you have a 37mm device for civilians. I hope you can read between the lines here.

The 40 mm lauchers a restricted firearm as well subject to Federal regulations in regards to military technology for possesion and storage

Sorry, but YES, there have been many M203s exported out of the US legally.

And BTW the CFC FRT lists Colt M203 as NON-Restricted.

If you can afford an expensive & real Made In USA M203, why would you mount it on a cheapo Norc M4 knockoff? This would be equivalent to installing a 24k gold faucet in a rooming house bathroom.

I thought the M203's classification and legality was a thing of long ago knowledge. A page and a half of arguing about something that is easily verifiable if one takes the time to actually look.

If you don't know don't offer the advice. Your future credibility will take a beating.

I doubt any LMT launchers escaped legitimately before they tightened down on ITAR. It's most certainly an airsoft copy and worth $300. All the M203s I've seen for sale here are Colts, and mostly beat up ex-IDF surplus (and guys STILL think they're worth five grand).

Had an LMT airsoft copy myself in fact. For all the good a real 40mm is to civilians that's all I was willing to spend to look awesome. Outgrew that and sold it to an airsofter.

Didn't Dlask import a few from the U.S. via Europe? Some were sold on the E.E. and then the new owners got "contacted" by the RCMP to register them?

No the owners were contacted and had them seized due to improper export certificate's ,improper end user certificates from the US. Improper import certificates in to Canada concerns from both US and Canadian Govt's
