That is great news. 10 round pistol mags, are much better than 5 round rifle mags.
Except if the folder is welded to the receiver it will be pretty ####in useless if you ask me!
Lets hope that folder is functioning!

Just like the 3 mags that were "supposed" to come with my Beretta 92a1, I would imagine the extra mags are sold off by the dealer for profit!
There is a version with a wooden stock if one wants to get handy.

You can always buy your magazines from the USA. A dealer that a friend buys from charges $1 per magazine to make them Canada-compliant. $1 markup is a lot better than the $10-$60 markup I see in Canada.
I know. I call it mag poaching. But I am sure the importer has a good sense of how we feel about that. If we are pleased, that would go farther in promoting business than a mag or two sold additionally. Take the amount of energy I applied to the VZ-58 (with its 4 mags) and imagine me running with it.
Personally I think this looks good - I think the Canadian cost is justified - between a complete bolt redesign and having to go through the hassle of getting it accepted and then brought into Canada I'm surprised it isn't costing them more. I'm betting they aren't making much of a margin at that price to be frank, and if they are, whatever, they're a business offering a unique historically accurate and interesting gun that we can't otherwise have.
Magazine poaching as you call it is actually the reason why a dealer lost out on the difference in markup between an SKS and a VZ-58. I would have bought the VZ-58 if it came with what it is supposed to.

American made or Italian made? Because AFAIK the Italian made ones only ship to dealers with two mags. Beretta-USA does advertise them coming with 3 mags, but Beretta-International does not.
They are being sold in the US with the welded stock to qualify as a pistol. Otherwise, they would need to have a longer barrel, to avoid being classified as a SBR, and subject to federal controls.
If this uses original PPS43 smg magazines, I suspect that 10 round magazines aren't going to happen. The magazines were designed for smg, not a pistol, and would be subject to the 5 shot limit.
However, if the US pistol version were available in Canada, and if new made, short 10 round magazines were available, they might be OK.
Doubt that a 10/30 would happen.
