I know a lot of people have XD's but I don't see to many XDm threads. Who else has one? What do you think of 'em?

I and I'm sure many others would love if you posted a review of yours along with additional images.

I've been considering buying one for quite some time but a combination of it's cost in Canada and not being able to fire one first is keeping me from it.

I have an XDM 40 with a 9mm conversion bbl.I had ftf early on but found that it was rivet used to pin the mag causing the problem. Once that was corrected I had no problem s with the 40.
5000+ rds through it no issues. I have run the pistol hard in a couple of tac matches.
One of the matches was during hard rain and high winds and the gun ran 100%.
Xdm Has a shorter reset than the Xd and I find it one of the most control able and shoot able pistols I have shot.

Proud XDM owner. Has never had a single malfunction, really like the grips and shoots well and accurate enough. I've run well over 2000 rounds through it and I don't think I'd look back. Great Glock/M&P alternative.

Major gripes, XDM 9 mags are hard as hell to find and once you do they're expensive! Seeing a 19 rnd mag pinned to 10 is also heart breaking... Also after market parts aren't the easiest (or cheapest) to come by.

Might as well post another pic :D

I took it to the range once and I guess I need to get used to it because my 92FS and G22 with a 9mm barrel both out shoot it a far. I know it's capable of very good accuracy so I cant wait to shoot it again. I like the grip and the gun is good quality. It's kinda large gun (bigger than Glock or M&P) and I find it a little weird how tall/long the slide and the frame (chamber to trigger) is compared to the width of the grip.

I had a Xd40 (nice gun)and sold it and now happily own a XDM 45. I only made the switch because I have other .45ACP firearms and I like bigger bullets. I've put about 600 rounds through the XDM45 without a hiccup. I find the new trigger lighter with a shorter reset as advertised. I'd buy one again without hesitation.

Love my XDM .45. It's my first .45 and first polymer framed pistol. The grips are comfortable and the controls are easy to reach without having to move the gun around in my hand. I like the ambi-mag release. Mags are easy to find as they're compatible with the XD .45.

I bought a XD Tactical in 45 Cal, great gun to shoot, put about 500 rounds through it. I would like to improve the sights as it is the 2009 version not the newer model. Any ideas out their?

I and a friend both have the 9mm 5.25" XDMs very nice handguns. Both loaded up with all the Powder precision goodies and that makes them a whole different animal. One thing I was not happy with in stock form was the 7-7.5lb trigger pull, it was horrible IMO. Aside from that "now" they're fantastic. :)

Just picked up an xdm in 45, 4.5 barrel. Got it at the edge easter sale this past weekend for 30% off and no tax :p It is my first 45 and cant wait for it to get here. I just wished they had the 5.25 comp model, cause man they look even sweeter. Love the cut out in the top of the slide for weight reduction, the 5.25 is listed at only 1 oz heavier than the 4.5 at 31oz. The reviews were good, so I just couldnt say no for around $600. Wheres the best place to get more mags? and do you save money buying the xd 45 mags? since they both work.

I got one in 9mm, 4.5 inch barrel. Absolutely love it! The sights are largely improved with just a little dab oof flourescent craft paint from wal mart, I put a rubber grip sleeve on it with the small interchangable under it as it seemed to give a grip feel between the small and medium one which just fits me better. I put a slug of brass in the guide pin to addd a little weight up front which reduced muzzle flip considerably. HIgher recommend it.

Oh and I have been told you can use Sig sights on them although I haven't confirmed that, so if you really want to change the sites there should be plenty of options

Not a fan.

I am not an XD or XDM fan. The gun is ugly to start. As for ergonomics, the XD's sit way too high in your grip. The grip safety is there for what? And what about that trigger pull? With the exception of the Beretta 92FS series, all of the current popular polymer guns have no barrel bushing. [unlike the 1911 platform] The XD series has no barrel bushing so it makes little difference if they have a so-called match barrel. Locking the barrel at the front and the back is better, way better than no front barrel bushing.
For a gun that is made in Croatia, it is priced too high. Plus the XD and the Xdm compact series are not compact at all. Now I am sure there are lots of XD owners out there that love the gun, but you have to ask yourself why Springfield Armory brings in the XD? Why don't they make their own polymer gun, like Glock, Smith & Wesson and others? Even STI makes a polymer frame gun. If you guys remember, SA brought in CZ clones and then quit that line too.
