Just a quick DIY how to change all your versa mag pouches into a magnetic mag pouches for under $5!

I went to princess auto and got some of those 1.5" disk magnets with the small hook. Take off the pouch and screw and put the hook through the hole with the hook on the inside and tighten it up. The magnet holds in place perfectly and it works just the like the cr magnetic one. I got 10 magnets for like $4.

I thought I'd have to drill holes or use different nuts and bolts but everything worked perfectly. I'd also recommend using some loctite on the threads or a lock washer because they can come loose after time. I initially tried using some magnets from lee valley but they were too strong and I couldn't get the mag off...

I have five mag holders and I made the first two into the magnetic ones. Our IPSC guys like to make lots of stages with all mags on barrels etc. With the two up front they are big enough to hold four between the two of them. If you can't find any similar I could mail some out to you for a couple bucks.

Questions or comments greatly appreciated!!

Nice idea, way to think out of the box. Don't think they'd work too well with my Glock mags. lol

I think the Glocks have a metal inner lining, but not owning one, I can't be sure. I've seen some IPSC shooters with this set up for their G17s, so I imagine it's the case. Just look through the 10 little holes on the side of your pistol mag for any hint of metal.

There is metal in the mags. Just a little concerned as to how well the magnets will hold having a layer of polymer in between. Mind you, at that price it wouldn't hurt to try and see. I always have use for magnets with hooks on them.

L bracket and the same magnet the OP used. Holds 1 mag well or 2 loosely.

The thing about the CZ shadow is that they're such a great gun anyone can learn to shoot them!
