Hello, just need to pick some brains here, got an MOE midlength handguard and want to mount it over my 11.5in barrel. What do I need besides a low profile gas block to replace the stock front sight gas block and end cap to hold the pieces together, hoping I can fit the end cap from the front sight base. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Cheers!

I dont think that will work because the handguard is held in between the front site adn the delta ring...if you remove the front site and replace it with a low pro gas block what is going to hold it in place?

I imagine you already have the carbine gas port drilled on your bbl... you could go with a 'Kino' style where the front sight block is just a front sight. From what I can tell, the threads on the 11.5" barrel will be nearly touching the A frame front sight block.

Your front hand guard cap may be too large, depending on the profile of your barrel. It'll still fit, but it'll be loose.

Yeah, I was thinking of a pseudo dissapator style instead of a full length rifle handguard and midlength gas system, I was gonna go with a carbine length gas sytem and see if I could still mount this midlength handguard... But I think the cap will be the problem even if I put a front sight non functioning gas block that's mounted with set screws, the end cap is still going to be loose... Hum maybe make an end cap?

Casey has done this in the past for a customer or two. Send him a PM. TacOrd on CGN.

Emailed Casey, going to send my upper to him when i have all the parts, trying to decide on a muzzle device, got the mid length hand guard too. Measured the diameter of my barrel after the front sight assembly, goes from .750 at the front sight assembly to .720 so will the front sight still be able to fit when I move it forward?? If not what other options do I have? Any suggestions? Thanks

Just called him got it all worked out, great guy to deal with really helpful. Only one hitch in this build... Not enough room for the front sight assembly on the barrel. Back to the drawing board...

get a shorter barrel and use the Muzzle device to hold the handguard in place? that would look nice. no front sight at all, you'll require a red dot.

Is the Hera arms compensator basically like a SPEX/ATRS Eliminator? Pushing the blast forward, etc?
