LAR-15 10 Round Mag Extensions

you can buy half legth mag pouches so a single lar 10 mag still sticks out, eliminating the need for an extension

With mag pouches like the HSGI Tacos, you just need to put a foam block in the bottom and you can use them with the 10 rounders. That isn't really the issue. The thing many people want the boot for is to be able to use the mag as a monopod for the deliberates in Service Rifle matches.

I just wanted to see if anyone had any updates on the progress.

Kombayotch, I agree that the Tacos and other pouches will work to hold the mag but a mag change with a 10 round mag (shorter mag body) is different than a mag change with a 30 round magazine and it would be great if the 10 rounders could be extended to a full length mag size without having to buy a 2nd magazine.

You mean somethimg like these? these are the 3rd and 4th prototypes and NOT the final version. Pattent has been applied for and production will start soon, sorry can't share final version pics yet. :)

^^^ nice, price?

Thanks, I am not 100% nailed down on price but they should come in @ $12-13. ea. depending on final cost of tooling and size of the run. Hopeing to do a 10000. ct. run. Less than that many pieces(5000.) and the price jumps substantially. Still waiting on pattent approval

Meh...guys have been doing these mods for years. One of the guys on the last course used a mag coupler and the body of a cheep airsoft mag to make it similar in dimension to a full sized mag. It was secured with electrical tape. Worked well, but he didn't patent it...:D

Nice.. Been waiting for these.

I shot with these last year during a 2 day carbine course and they worked great. I think they were gen 2 then.

Created six of them in total for testing. They haven't been bead blasted or finished in any way. Not sure if I will bother for the first generation.
