Just got this nice M42 single decal Heer helmet from the US.
Its a ckl66 shell and a 58 original liner. Has a nice ink hand written signature on the liner but cant really read what it says.
Unfortunately it is a repro chinstrap and a bootlace string. But im pleased for my first helmet.

Then the whole collection. Only been collecting german stuff since MArch 2011
from back: dou44 bolt mm, 41 Port contract matching, 41 ce, bolt and one screw mm, byf42 matching, cyq P38 matching with waa88 mag, spare waa135 mag, bayo mm, Port contract bayo, bayo mm, original box of 1939 german 8mm, and some random rounds, anf finally the helmet.
Only repros are flag, helmets chinstrap and string, and the sling on the dou44 is isreali.

Please no harping on me about nazis, or the flag. I dont fly the flag or march down the street wearing the helmet, K98 in hand. Just for display purposes.

Very Nice! Where did you get the ammo? I'm looking for prewar Polish 7.92mm.

According to the info at Alexander and Sons Restorations your helmet was made by Eisenhüttenwerk AG, in Thale Hartzutte. Their code was changed from ET to Ckl in 1943.

The middle bayo with the shiny grips and black pommel - is that a postwar refurb or is it supposed to be that way? What models are the bayonets?

Some close ups perhaps?

Beautiful helmet and great collection. Watch that helmet around idiots though, I got a
M-40 a month ago with a crusty liner and no string and when I turned my back for 10 seconds, the wifes uncle had it jammed as far as it would go on his melon. Tore the liner in a half dozen spots! Oh well, sh*t happens!

Nice to see th old cyq in a loving collection.

Very nice collection of Kar98ks as well.

"Impressive, most impressive, but you are not a collector yet..." :D.

Looking good! I've been on the lookout for a nice matching WWII K98 myself.

To be honest though, your collection is way too nice for that repro flag! I think you need to find an original :D

 And he didn't need stiches in half a dozen places after that? LoL ;)

Oh man, I'm sorry to hear that!

I'm paranoid about stuff like that. I keep all my helmets including a German one like yours in a locked glass display case. Ikea sells a cheap one that will hold a few helmets for around $100 and you can add a lock. Even all my small items are locked up in small display cases, and some stuff in my gun locker.
