That's why I want to point it out here. I understand that Questar also has her investment tied up and the issue is costing them. And I also understand that the classification issue of out of their hand.

But charging the full cost of the rifle in order to keep the preorder status right now is just bad business practice. Just because I am really interested in the rifle and I am forced to play with their game DOES NOT mean I agree with this practice.

Let me ask everyone, has anyone ever pay a product in full while the seller does not even sure whether he is able to sell it to you? And remember, the price is $4k and the waiting time so far is 1.5 year, still counting.

I believe they should refund me but keep my pre-order status. Afterall, preorder should not be charged. When we were charged at that time we were told that we would receive the rifle in around 2 weeks. But since it didn't come true. I wonder why Questar still have to hold the total cost in order to hold the ordering status. Why can't they just refund me total or partial like 75% and keep my preorder? Do you know $4K is a lot of money? And does anyone ever pay in full for preorder?

Yeah, they should've done that. They also shouldn't have initially told people that asked for a refund that they could only get a store credit... or that they'd make an exception and provide them with a refund minus a 25% restocking charge. You know, for moving the rifle that they still haven't shipped from one shelf to the other...

When I called for an update 6+ months ago a 25% restocking or store credit was NEVER brought up. I was told I could get my money back at any time.

I may be missing something since I have not read the whole thread so could someone in the know enlighten us?

I was told I could get my money back on the T97 from Canada Ammo as well, any news on that front?

I just cancel my preorder few days ago. And it is total refund. Restocking fee is old news like a year ago actually. I know a few people cancel their preorder also. Hope this help. Thanks.

It didn't cost them over $4K for that Rifle.
The Rifle most likely came in parts, you think they actually imported these Directly From FN... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

The big joke is , Do they even have them?

And there it is! How many companies purchase or even place an order for a product before they even know if said product will be legal to sell? My guess would be NONE!!! So, all your pre-order payments may actually work out to be one big interest free loan!

Is there something you guys didnt understand when the Pre-Order was first put in place?

Im sure everything was disclosed, and waiting on the RCMP for a FRT isn't a "it'll be done next week" but more so "a bunch of years from now IF they feel like it, and the planets align..."

It amazes me to see so many people complaining. Don't like it? First, don't get involved on a pre-order, and if you do, get out.

Just dont be surprised if next month or whenever the rifle does come out and you now have to wait to get yours.

(So many whiners...)

Sorry, but you don't have a clue what you're talking about. First, there was a non-refundable deposit for the pre-orders. The FRT request went in around this time. Then, when the SCARs arrived about 6 months later we had 48 hours to pony up all the funds, and we were given assurances that the SCARs would be approved within a few scant weeks. After about 6 months (and everyone being out-of-pocket about $3,600 each), a few people inquired about refunds for non-delivery. First they were told no - they could only have a store credit. Then they were told they could have a refund under 'special circumstances', but it was subject to a -25% restocking fee. Only after everyone essentially peaked and freaked did they finally relent and offer a full, unconditional refund.

Thanks for the "flash back" and its "bang on". I can't believe that there are still people waiting, and down $4200 with tax???? WOW. What's it up to now 3-4 years???

I'm not sure how many out of the original 'batch' are still waiting, but I think most have given up and written the SCAR off at this point. I think the Beretta ARX-160 is more realistic at this point...

This is the question that made me duck out when Blaxsun was selling his pre-order spot (sorry sir)

The RCMP has one. That seems to be clear. But the others? I'd like to think they're in a warehouse in Ontario waiting patiently. But I've never seen a photo of that stock lined up. Has anyone else?

Admittedly I haven't followed this since the start. Just the year or so since Blaxsun put his spot up on the EE, so maybe there are things I've missed. But I would not be shocked to learn those rifles haven't crossed the border, and may not cross the border anytime soon.
